  1. Thanks for that. Were they standard discs and pads?
  2. Even though I am fast running out of money, these below have popped up at a good price. I'm thinking my standard set up is going to look pretty puny behind my new 19's. What do you think a standard ZX set up is worth? Am I right in thinking its an upgrade for the 200 boys? I have 3G grooved and dimpled discs with red painted calipers. And AP, are they as good as people say? AP Racing red 4 piston caliper, one piece rotor (13" cross-drilled and slotted rotors). This kit utilizes an AP Racing 4 piston caliper and a one piece slotted and drilled and cadmium plated rotor.
  3. Just a quick one - can the "RIDES" go back to being alphabetically listed. Drives me mad searching all through them to find someone.
  4. JB, that SWB has your name written all over it. Stu, all these good wishes is firing you up, I can tell! Let me know if you want a hand mate.
  5. Excellent!!!!
  6. I don't think srrae DID do it..........he trained up his sideburns. Still got em Stuart?
  7. .........and when did you change your name???????????? LOL. Sorry, krsmayo, couldn't help it.
  8. Cheers Andy, Spit & Polish are next on the list but I have heard they've been taken over recently and new work isn't up to scratch. How true this is, I don't know, so will find out. Its looking favourite to take them to a sprayer I know and just have them painted.
  9. Good to see you back mate. I was the same when my Z was off the road but now I'm back on it full steam ahead.........bigger and better! As yours will be.
  10. He he, no beer mate. You're right on the 2nd number being the % profile of the width. The 1st number being the width, so no difference no matter what diameter tyre. To put it simply, both tyres lying flat on the deck - Yoko stands taller about an inch. You sold me reject size tyres John-boy???? LOL.
  11. Both tyres are off the wheels. Goodyear's are brand new, Yoko's are used. Just measured them, Goodyear's seem about 265ish, Yoko's seem more like 275! Maybe they do compress outwards a bit when used, who knows?
  12. No, its not the angle of the side wall..... The Goodyear is narrower, no doubt. Seems odd.
  13. LOL!! You got it! But my 275's are about an inch narrower than the 265's!!!!
  14. Oh dear, Lepsons was a waste of time! To be fair they did look like a good outfit but didn't like the look of my wheels! Kept saying how my plastic allen bolts would melt! Plastic my ar5e. Then suggested the polished rolled lip was glued on and would fall off in the process. I told him these wheels cost over £2k and I very much doubt anything was glued on or plastic. I actually took one out of the box and he did then see the lip of the rim wasn't glued on - but the damage was done in his mind, he just didn't fancy doing them. Left work at half 4, got home at half 7, 3 hours and fuel wasted. Now don't get me wrong, maybe I was speaking to the company doughnut. I have heard very good reports on Lepsons and the other wheels that were being done there looked excellent. I was just unlucky I guess !! The idea was to get the spokes painted anthracite - I will still do this but will probably just get them painted by a bodyshop, eg masked and sprayed. They are brand new so don't need re-furbing anyway. Just annoying, I was looking forward to getting these done asap.... more grief now.
  15. I have a pair of Goodyear Eagle F1 275/35/19 for my new wheels and they are just resting against some Yokohama's 265/35/18...... and the Yoko's are about an inch wider - wtf?
  16. I can get you more rocks, prob weigh more than 15kilos though. Let me know.
  17. LOL, dodgy stud is sorted, with minimum fuss in the end. My, your, our wheels are being taken to Lepsons tonight in Gillingham to be painted or powder coated, whatever they do, anthracite, just the spokes and inner rim. Leaving the dish polished of course! They are gonna look sooooooo nice. Pics to follow........
  18. Looking around for some 19" fronts for my new wheels. http://www.mytyres.co.uk were the best by far, price you see is to your door, incl vat. My Toyo's came in about 3 days. Superb price too. EDIT - co.uk not .com!! oops.
  19. Erm.......... "if you're happy and you know it, clap your hands........."
  20. Yeah, owning these cars can be a love/hate relationship. Shit service gets my goat up beyond belief. Stick with it, you know its worth it. Good luck.
  21. You can't say fairer than that.............oh, I just said it! Mark is a top man.
