I used AVO springs to lower mine, take a look and if you like the height and stance then I'll go into more details about where I got them and for how much etc. They were very reasonably priced! (just getting trumpet out) Jeff @ Zedworld fitted them for me and said they made the car sit the nicest he'd seen a Z sit and I guess he's fitted a few.
  2. ..............but YELLOW steering wheel? LOL :D
  3. Looks good so far, how about a carbon centre? :D
  4. Dazuti.....if your car still has the original shocks then it is a good idea to replace them but if you are doing it purely to solve the "hopping/skipping" thing, jack your car up man, with your wheel still on and check for play, at least you can get this done at the same time! .........come on, don't be lazy! :D (no offence meant -just want you to get it sorted 1st time!)
  5. Just thought I'd say again, had brand new shocks and springs fitted on rear and car still hopped and skipped like a good 'un. MINE was rear steering joint thingy!
  6. Would duff shocks produce a sideways kinda hop though? mine was doing same and is steering wotsit, jacking up the rear and checking the play revealed this quite clearly!! Well, Jeff @ Zedworld spotted it as he fitted my new shocks and springs. The vibaration (aswell as the hopping) was very similar to propshaft bearing, but on checking, prop was solid.
  7. Lowered about an inch, a little more maybe,(35mm?) ride is spot on, for me! quite firm but not bone shaking.
  8. God damn it....its Ferrero Roche's........!!! didn't you see??
  9. Thanks, they're 18's and yes, have had the car lowered with AVO springs. I was really pleased with them!!
  10. :D looks a bit better lighter eh? course I don't mind. Have got some better pics and will post them soon on RIDES....soon as I work out how to!! Thanks for the compliments;)
  11. HKS AFR controller £95.00 HKS S-AFR Fuel controller £275.00 Am I right in thinking the 1st one is air only and 2nd is air AND fuel? Iain....what have you got? Thanks,
  12. Sounds good, next step is to get that beauty out for a drive!!
  13. I saw just today on Zedworlds site (see LINKS top right) a buying guide, questions you should ask etc, so check that out and I'm sure there is another one knocking around, try a search on it. z32.org maybe? Where abouts in Surrey are you? The best bit of advice I would give is if you're not sure about anything-then walk away, be patient and the right one will turn up!
  14. Tony's right, OPTIMAX is a must imho.(Jap spec) Castrol RS 10w60 is my fav oil, I was going to say don't skimp on your oil, but hey, if you're a lawyer then you have money to burn............aswell as oil!:D Welcome and enjoy!
  15. Ahhhh man! they're anthracite. STU!!!!!!!!!!!!!! your camera is rubbish. LOL:D :D :D you weren't holding that lighting umbrella thing in the right direction! What did I pay you for?? LOL :D now my post doesn't make sense cos SRRAE has edited from "black" to "dark"...........!
  16. But surely that Vauxhall Astra engine swap you did has taken care of that? :p
  17. I'm no expert but would thought you could get your boost up a LITTLE bit more, how you do that is up to you!! Boost controller is the best way.
  18. How big's your wallet? everything from here gets expensive, intercoolers, bigger turbo's, pistons, injectors.......etc etc. Upgrade ECU I would've thought next or boost controller, or both!
  19. Yes- AUTOSOL is excellent. And if you have any scatches on your watch-this stuff will make the face like brand new again!!
  20. Does it get to live on the drive and yours on the street?
  21. Have you ever wondered, what did Vincent see in the briefcase? Tarantino filmed the scene in full and then decided to add some mystery. That's why he doesn't let you see in the briefcase. Some computer spud as decided to send out the unedited version (see below). http://viral.lycos.co.uk/attachments/1293/pulpchoc2.gif
  22. I'm sure this is to do with the coolant temp sensor, can you hear your elec fan running constantly? if it is then you have faulty wiring to the sensor or a faulty sensor (knowing the Z it'll be the wiring!)
  23. I also used fancyplates and was impressed with the quality and "versatility" they offer.
  24. Not sure what you mean about the plate? I know the mount for the plate is small -but you're still gonna have to fix a full size one on there! New laws?? do you know something I don't? please explain! Cheers,
  25. Nice one, cheers GIO, didn't get to speak to you sunday! Next question is..........fuse to rear lights? This is for a Z owner near me, via a workshop we both (obviously) use!! and warning sign on dash, "lights" far left, think he said ??? I told him to get his arse onto here-but hasn't got pc. Thanks,
