I was talking to someone over the weekend, a guy who builds his own cars......Nick Harlett, if anyones heard the name, he must be up there with the best in the country. Anyway, he was just about to wire in the loom to a car he's building at the mo and he said that it is best to crimp the connectors on because if you solder them on, these can go brittle and break/snap over a period of time. I can see his point but was just about to solder on my new injector and coilpack connectors that Stu (SMW1) kindly got for me from Courtesy. Any opinions on this? Cheers........

Yours will be like mine but with no dimples and twice as many grooves! ie 20-GR(oove) I liked the look of the dimples.......makes a funny noise when you brake though! I thought something was stuck in my wheels at first!!! :D

Cheers, I used Halfords Brake Caliper Paint RED, a 250ml tin. But I would really recommend using an aerosol cos its pretty tricky to paint on with a brush (which is what I did) as its so thick, as you pull the brush away-strands of red paint come away too. But if you are careful and take your time its ok. Just make sure you really clean up the caliper first, thats my tip of the day! The discs are Brembo's 10 groove and dimpled from 3G Brakes.

Well, a journey that should've taken about 45 mins, took nearly 3 HOURS!! Still, it was good to squeeze into the line-up for a little while!

Yeah, I surf, have left the jetskiing days behind me. My local spot is Brighton (Marina or Hotpipes) but do get down to North Devon (Woolacoombe) as often as possible, this coming weekend as it goes. Was in Newquay weekend before last but it was flat.

LOL, just seen this, must be a bit slow on the 'view new posts' today........thought I did it every 15 mins at least! Yeah, I landed it, it can come down with a bang but at the highest point the nose then starts to point back down again, with a bit of persuasion. That photo was taken at Dymchurch, in Hythe but some of the biggest days I've had have been in Port Talbot, Sth Wales. Still, I've left the smokey 2-stroke engine behind now and am into surfing.........but on big days still miss the ski. My jetski was tuned up to a ridiculous degree, had a 750 engine in a 550 hull! I chucked some money at it, thats for sure. The MSD total loss ignition was a good one!
