Maybe its time for new plugs? To clean the TB's, TPS, connections to the coilpacks and injectors? They're all worth looking at. Oh, temp sensor too and make sure the battery is fully charged. Certainly some things to keep you going!

This isn't worth argueing over. At the end of the day we don't know, and probably never will know what the previous owner knew about what was wrong with the car. Its just bad luck.

I think its just the way 'sunbeds' has come over saying......I've been shafted, he's done me, its all his fault..........No, its half his fault (if he DID know about the problems!!?) and half your fault for not getting it checked out properly. Thats NOT to say all of us don't feel bad for him cos we do. And being taken for a ride leaves a horrible taste in your mouth.

Yeah, I have said to always buy from someone on here, but the guy concerned only made a handful of posts, hardly much to check up on about his car etc. We all sympathise with him, no doubt about that, hell, mine blew up after ONE month of ownership, so I get to beat Waz's record. That cost me £2,500 for SE to supply and fit a new engine. It is down to the buyer to check as much as poss. Don't take anything for granted. He's already said the gearbox was already like it when he bought it. Like what I'm not quite sure? Again, I will say I feel bad for you mate. Get a 2nd opinion on what needs doing aswell, .......and keep it once its fixed.
