  2. What a lovely venue and a great meet It was nice to meet some old and new faces with a few 350 and 370 guys there as well
  3. Well you certainly were as the results show Congrats bud and hope all goes well Parenthood is the best thing in the world Enjoy expensively the early years as they fly past so quickly edited Opps just noticed the expensively though it is true I did mean especially:nelson:
  4. As I read it the subscription can be changed by the committee at any time but needs to be ratified at the next AGM Although I have a gripe on the way on principle of how the previous constitution was altered as a continued subscribed member I realise that it is in place and as the such I have to fully accept it and be governed by it
  5. Oh dear 41 last February enough said :tooth: suffering from a mid-life crisis nail on the head LOL
  6. As the discussion of why and what for (Not Knocking the discussion)has taken over the original reason the tony b stated the thread he should be requested to restart it and it be kept clean and to the purpose of what it was for ie a convoy of like minded enthusiasts from no matter where to help make an excellent event even better for people travelling from a distance away
  7. Surely the good thing about letting non members on a club stand is a, it gives that non member a happy welcoming feeling of the place b, it helps to swell the numbers of cars on the clubs display c, it may encourage that person to become a subscribed member of a club IMHO the z scene is quite small overall in all honesty and at any event the more Zs/owners /enthusiasts that are there will help to get others to come along
  8. been around for a while on places Still makes me laugh though I wonder why
  9. was going to drop in to this but got grandson for the weekend so have to cry off
  10. Just a few years to go now then for that telegram from Buck House arrives have a good one Mike
  11. Following on the Z Scene covered by Retro Cars November issue has this on cover
  12. what ever option you take will be wrong Close it and you open the door to complaints of stamping on users who posted too hard and other threads will start up about things Leave it open and run the danger of more posts that insult people get the insulted peoples backs up and they retaliate back saying I have a right to put over my opinion with out being called half wits, thick, trouble makers Rock and a hard place fella as the opening statement says either way in some peoples eyes you will be wrong
  13. not a fan of over moderation but hey some people like doing this when posting a thread and others after a few of these will be caught and then it all blows up out of proportion
  14. 2 videos to show how it works
  15. The following quote from one of the guys who took part explains how bracket racing works
  16. Just to clarify it has already happened as it was yesterday 2nd October in case any one gets confused
  17. Z/ZXs queuing up for the start of the first ever bracket style drag racing for Zs in the UK on Sunday
  18. THINK IT HAS BEEN MOVED TO NEXT WEEKEND AS THEY ARE AT SHAKESPEAR SPEED WAYeffing caps tommorow
  19. there is a special Z/ZX bracket series going on here were you dial in your expected time and the race against other Z/ZXs all arranged through the speedways management
  20. This weekend at York speedway the 2nd bit of z drag related history for the year will be set This time it will be a Z/ZX bracket race series that the organisers are allowing to be done defiantly a eight car shot out but hey if another eight turn up a sixteen Z/ZX shoot out would be the icing on the cake Not bad as this year at North Weald saw the first ever Z/ZX eliminator take place with zs going head to head until there was one left standing
  21. agreed that there are a lot of nice motors there but being a bit critical it could not really be classed as a Classic Car Show as such but hey maybe over the pond classic has a different meaning
  22. 100% correct Just a little bit of input/warning on the projector suggestion(if used) make sure it is switched of by the on/off switch on the projector to allow it to cool down in standby mode Reason being some stupid sod (not me but one of the bands roadies thinking it was part of the bands setup) decided at Z-Fest last year to unplug the extension lead whilst it was still running at the main power point and it caused the projectors bulb to blow as it had not cooled down in the standby mode Cost of replacement bulb £100 plus and no more projections over the rest of the weekend in the separate (blue) marque
  23. shite bud missed this So belated Happy birthday Hope you had a great day mate
