It looks that way but it is a lot more than just a bit of cable. I made one of the DIY cables a few years ago but it never worked with my car. The Blazt cable worked first time! It just aint worth pi$$ing about with a DIY one really when Legrath can do you the real thing. (but I'd go for the serial one if you can!) Graham.

Just buy a [serial] Blazt cable mate. Damn site more reliable.

I agree with everyone else that this guy is a cnut on a power trip trying to up his quota................ BUT............ you did give him the rope to hang you with mate! :x: Also, if you are using this as an argument for a small plate, you will be screwed by the next copper on a power trip because you're wrong! The '99 spec IS able to accomodate a standard UK plate. I know, I have one on mine because I don't want some prick in a uniform doing me 'cos he's having a bad day! :rant: Rant over.
