I have now searched every where on the net and it seems nobody has any clue how to fit a steering wheel onto the 300zx, I thought it would be quite common lol ! Doesn't anybody know how to fit an aftermarket wheel onto a Zed lol ? Olly.

do you know how a usual hicas hub fits on, if you could tell me that I could probably work it out !

I bought it off a guy on here who said it was for hicas without cruise which is what I have but still don't know if it is the right hub, what is it supposed to look like ? Thanks in advance. Olly.

I have searched honestly, but cannot find any references to how to fit a new steering wheel on. I have a hub and hicas and have removed the old steering wheel. Trying to fit on the new hub and I can;t seem to work it out lol any ideas peeps. Olly.

Woohoo :D found the answer to this 1. Went to take a wire from the positive straight to the solenoid to make sure it was working and alas bingo ! The solenoid wire was dangling on the floor and had worn right through hence no power going to the solenoid on the starter. Quick twist together of the wires and some black tape and she fired up straight away lol !!!

Checked all the fuses under the bonnet, put a multimeter onto battery terminals 12.61v so no problem there. Everything works as it should, stereo, lights (very bright too), apart from the clock has now gone off. I get all the normal dash lights now but when I turn the key nothing at all not even a click, which would suggest to me my starter motor has either jammed up or its busted ??? I can bump start it and it all works perfect ? What do you think ? Olly.

Desperate help needed before I start pulling wiring apart, started the car fine this morning, got to work as usual, went out to pc world to get some bits, come out to start her up and nothing !!! I get the usual dash lights accept 1 is missing from normal, to the right of the battery light ! All other lights are on as normal, but when I turn the key it is completely dead ! I managed to push it a little way and engage a gear which bumped it lol but has my starter packed up or what else could it be ? I await the boards excellent respones to this 1 lol ! ... but you are talking about a seriously modified car and a standard road bike, the FZR will have it up to about 120 because of weight and initial accelleration then bye bye as it just won't have the legs of the beast top end, however ... put it up against a modified EXUP and you will lose gracefully anything up to 200 in any gear lol !!! If the Zed is close to that then fair enough. :bow: The exup has 145 bhp standard and weighs in at 214kg, thats 677bhp per ton, does 0-60 in 2.7 seconds and 172 top end.

Mate, I was there in my Silver 300 with four large pipes out the back, but didn't see anyone broke down in their 300 or I would have stopped and helped you sort it !

:o I also get this when trying to pressurise the system it just sounds like its going straight through the engine and doesn't build up any pressure at all ! Any ideas if the engine needs to be rotated into a certain position i.e. tdc before commencing to pressurise it ?

The easiest and best is to say someone in the family has died !!! Make it up ofcourse, Like don't tell them your uncle died if you have one as he probably won't be impressed. Tell them your mothers sisters auntie died and that you have to travel for the funeral and then there is nothing they can do about it as it is compationate/family leave !!!

I would be up for that guys and gals as I live right near the Jolly Wagonner pub, and used to live in Hanworth near the library, know the area extremely well, I think Feltham Bowls would get overwhelmed with 3 Zeds all at once lol ! Let us know when and where you decide and I'm there !!! Olly.
