  1. If I were you I'd see if you can get a fellow member to help you and perhaps get some beers in. In fact I think Craig is near you. Always happy to help.
  2. I'd be up for that!! Is there a thread? Andy
  3. Yeah I remember that. Pabs won't though. He's sooooooooooooooooooooo stupid. And he's got a stupid car! Why can't he be crever rike me?
  4. Good to see you today mate. Glad you got back ok and she's running smoothly! See you at JAE! Andy
  5. More likely to be touching a baffle plate.
  6. Hmmmmm this is making me think about ditching mine!!
  7. Quads. Not too big though.... you don't want to look like a cartoon!
  8. Thanks for the replies guys. I found this eventually... http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=technical&msg_id=1001493 After testing my original handy work, it was all good and the problem lies with the reverse switch on the box. I bridged the connector where it connects to the revers switch on the box and the reverse light came on. Therefore it is the switch that is not completing the circuit. Does anyone have any ideas on this? Does anyone have a spare reverse switch for a manual box?
  9. On the way back from the MOT on Saturday I realised that my mileometer is not working. I looked under the car and I could see some loose wires and I also know my reverse light has never worked since I converted from auto to manual. Does any one know of any decent photos showing which wire are what on the manual box and what the connect to on a auto to manual conversion? Thanks in advance, Andy
  10. Cheers Dude! Very similar to my experience. It felt like a go-cart! No worries mate, it was a last minute decision so not your fault!! No one got hurt!! lol!
  11. Max factory setting for rear camber is -1'35' max. Nissan spent a lot of time getting this right. You are a bit over that bud. Combine that with a low profile tyre on a wide rim and you may not be putting that much rubber on the road when you compress the suspension and the camber angle increases. Plus the slight stretch and dodgy tyres probably explains it. First port of call has to be the tyres. Upgrade to a reputable brand with good reviews in 265 size.
  12. Cheers for the comments guys!! Drives nicely mate, just need to change the front pads. I had to chuck the tyre on for the MOT so it has the old rubber on on it!! Will have to fit it on the next tyre change. Yes Howard, just advisories on Dented front rims, power steering pump leak and one low front brake pad. What tyres are they and what did you have before?
  13. Took the Z and MOT yesterday after being SORN for ages and my God!! I forgot just how exciting these cars are to drive!! Any way she's back home and up in the air now with a list of jobs to complete before JAE. Just thought I'd share my excitement!
  14. Happy birthday buddy!!!
  15. This sounds exciting!! My advise would be:- Increase power with EBC and injectors ONLY if you can get it set up properly on a rolling road. I take it you are talking about my old greddy FMIC which is way too big for stock tubs and as you are racing from a standing start the bigger intercooler will not get chance to get enough air flowing over it to do its job. It may however, due to its bigger volume give you slightly more lag. However, if you can get some one to let of a CO2 fire extinguisher onto it through the front bumper then you are basically charge cooling your intake. You could just say that it was a precautionary thing as you where having cooling issues!!! I've seen it done up at the pod before. Reduce weight by swapping out the standard seats for something lighter if you have them from your other car, plus spare wheel, quarter of a tank of fuel, ICE etc. If you can get some R888's or borrow some slickies from a nice Scotsman then that will deffo help. A linelock will be handy to heat up the tyres or more to the point lose the water that may have been put down in the burn out lane. If the guy in the vauxhall runs over this and is on wet tyres and you are not, he will just sit and spin in first with the kind of torque he has. The other thing mate is practice your launches. Good luck!!
  16. Cheers Steve, I think I have some black bumper primer and paint in the garage? I might give that a go..... LOL! Cheers Rich!
  17. Both spot on!!!!! Cheers guys!! A little wiggle of the hazards switch and it's fine!!
