  1. Not bad but I think 18's go for more. I'll see what he comes up with on Friday.
  2. Cheers Mate!!! I don't think he will beat the prices I have been offered though! Now you have just turned this into a wanted add!! LOL!! I prefer the word frugal!!! Here is the weird thing - the tyre guy showed me a brand new one next to this one and the difference in thread was so small!! Still cant believe I got a 265 for £30!! BTW the date stamp on the tyres is 2010!!
  3. Having recently been made redundant, my plans for nice new tyres for Z have had to be shelved. Instead I went back to my usual supplier of part worns (I recently visited him to put a tyre on my my Honda Civic for it's MOT). While I was there I just asked if he had any 235/40/18's. He did!!! Two Michelin Pilot Sport 3's £35 quid each fitted, balanced and he gave me an adapter for my problematic recessed valves FOC. He also had a 265/35/18 Pirelli P Zero with 5mm which he let me have for £30!!!!! Result!! When I got home I googled both types of tyres and it turns out they are both really highly rated in lots of test for summer driving - perfect!! Not only that, he is buying more tyres on Friday and will be looking out for another P Zero for me which he will charge me £30 for!!! Not sure what the retail is on these tyres but I think it's safe to say they are pretty cheap? I was going to spend £270 on two Uniroyals for the rear! Worst case scenario I will be at JAE 3 great tyres and a space saver LOL!! Anyone else on part-worns??
  4. Yes Matey, over a curry perhaps?? Cheers Mate, might be the best thing that has happened to me if I can just survive the first 3-4 months. So the Vectra will be going and will hopefully raise just under £3K. Cheers Gary, We have all made bad calls at times me included and I will always put my hands up in such circumstances. The last thing I need when asking people for advice about my recent misfortune is someone taking figures out of my thread which are a crucial part of the decision process. Do you understand what I am saying? I think most people on here do!!
  5. It's good stuff!! My fiberglass spoiler is held on with it. been on for 3 years and no sign of deterioration.
  6. No, I was selling it and you were going to buy it!!!
  7. Actually, the more I think about it, I can always park the civic round the corner if needed! I've given it a clean and a service and it's not a bad little runner so I guess I just need to park my ego!! Yep I'm crap at paperwork too! I'm looking at doing some head hunting work. It's a risk but could be worth a lot of money.
  8. Don't panic, I'm not selling the Z!! Dilemma number one - been made redundant and may have to give up my 2003 deisel Vectra - a nice place to sit with low mileage and factory fitted extras worth about £2.5-3k If I do sell the Vectra, I will then have half a chance of setting up my own Recruitment business from the proceeds. So, do i swallow my pride and go back to driving a 1997 white Civic - worth about £700 (not my first choice of car if I'm using it for my new business adventure) or keep the Vectra and have less cash? Dilemma number two - Do I take the plunge and set up my own business or just get another job? Anyone done this them selves? Is it a good time? Thanks in advance. Andy
  9. Shit!!! That looks horrible. Hope it clears up soon mate!!
  10. My next door neighbour tells everyone she's a witch!!!! She can speak to dead people too, honest!! I need to move!
  11. Have a good one mate!!
  12. What's wrong with the Stillen ones?!! I've just put them on mine!!
  13. Here you go Mate!! http://www.specsavers.co.uk/offers/2-for-1/
  14. Nice one Jerrick!! You must have spent a fortune on that gear set in the end? Fancy another race on the M4??!! (Not exceeding the speed limit obviously officer!!!) :innocent:
  15. Don't like it!!! (as you asked!) It looks home made but not in a good way. IMHO of course. Sorry to be so unkind.
  16. Such a shame!! It was way better before.
  17. Iphone 4 rocks! End of. I know a microsoft engineer who hate Microsoft/windows etc. He runs 3 macs and two iphones lol!!! Yes Apple are good at marketing and why shouldn't they be. So are Microsoft. My sister works for Microsoft and they are in no position to be given any moral high ground. I have a MacBook Pro and a work PC. The MacBook Pro never puts a foot wrong and I even had windows installed on it for a while but never used it. The windows O/S just seems to be in a constant state on panic!!!!!! Always banging on about the latest security checks and updates - does my bloody head in!!! Mac just gets on with it - simple. That's why a lot of people cough up the extra cash and go Mac. I chose a Mac for the above reason (and after having an Iphone 3 for a year) but also because of the engineering and build quality. Buy cheap pay twice has never been so true. Would love someone to show me how good their smart phone is with out using the phrase " oh no, hang on a minute, it doesn't seem to want to do that" lol! Only thing I don't like is the Itunes situation but that can be gotten around!!
  18. 18x8.5 36 offset with a 20mm hub-centric spacers 235x40x18 tyres 18x9.5 30 offset 265x35x18 tyres Wheel arches rolled by arch enemy. Rear tracking was out on that picture but now spot on. Andy
