  3. Hi all.... I am trying to find out if anyone knows the resistor and potentiometer modification details for a JDM speedo to Uk spec? I read you need to change them, but can’t find anything online about resister and potentiometer values to use?? The only link I found is broken... can anyone help please? thanks Russ
  4. Well I have been given a couple of old tools in battered wooden cases. With all the time on my hands I have decided to strip and clean the tools and their cases. One is a Baty London cylinder gauge set and the other is a M&W fine tools tubular micrometer set. so far I have re glued a few interior pieces of wood In one case that had come away and given the inside a rub down with a scotchbrite pad. I have just given the inside a nice coat of Behandla wood treatment for worktops... should protect and feed the wood.... It gets me out of the house and something to do with my 7 year old other that technology, home schooling or TV..... lol I’m showing him how things work and how to take care of tools..... life lessons!
  5. I have now removed the Clifford Concept 60 alarm, intellistart, smart windows, sense and tell, 2 x external 128db sirens, 1 x internal 128db siren, 1 x pager unit. I have now replaced the 20 year old alarm system and completely re-wired under the dash and bonnet. Fitted even cleaner than the old one and harder to get to or even spot. I have also replaced the drivers door actuator, fitted the chrome interior door pull handles with LED lighting and wired up, lubricated the window mechanism. The passenger door is getting the same makeover with a new lock and solenoid to replace the weak one that occasionally doesn’t lock on the remote. Just had to find a replacement passenger door as the one on the car has rusted through along the bottom edge. I’m gutted...
  6. Owners manual for what looks like your alarm system.... Hope it helps... https://www.manualslib.com/manual/980837/Laserline-290i2.html#manual

  8. You will be missed Mike.... I used to enjoy popping over for a chat and to see how full your lounge was with Z parts... It doesn't seem like 19 years ago I first met him, when I bought my Z..... That was when he was in his old house with a very large outbuilding full of parts to rummage through.... As everyone that knows him has already said, He was a true Gent, helpful, patient and always welcoming! R.I.P. Mike....

  18. Good brands are JBL, Infinity Kappa, Alpine and Kenwood.... I would stay away from cheaper brands.... My personal choice is for JBL and infinity.... but then i have always been picky for a certain sound.... lol http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/speakers/full-range/jbl-stage-602e-6-5-16-5cm-135-watts-2-way-coaxial-car-speakers These are on special at the minute.... JVC are a well known and long standing brand, so they should be good as well.... The headhunt output is Maximum Power Output - 50W x 4 / 50W x 2 +Subwoofer (4 ohms) 50W x 1 Full Bandwidth Power (at less than 1%THD) - 22W x 4 so pretty much a speaker that will not be under or over driven is where you want to be.... Russ
