  2. 65,500 degrees?? Where do you fill up? In the sun? :D Coolant temp sensor is pretty cheap and a doddle to replace, I got one from http://www.courtesyparts.com last year just cos I was buying some other bits and it was cheap. Although it might just need a good clean with a wire brush :)
  3. Shit fella - really sorry to hear about this :( What insurance cover have you got and are you going through insurance? If your NCB is worth a lot (you're about my age arent you?) then I'd seriously look at sourcing the parts yourself - it'll be cheaper than you think. My bump in May has cost me about £1000 to sort in total, that was for bonnet, wing, headlight, new indicators and foglights, front bumper (99 spec) wing, towing up to Mr Duff, and work on the bent brackets and crossmember. I'll have a nicer looking car at the end too. Hope that makes it seem doable :) This forum's help in times like these is the best thing about it  Good luck Pete
  4. LOL Richard  Mike - there is no lower or indeed upper limit to which a director can be held liable for a company's liabilities, dunno where the £1000 fig came from?. There are many instances eg trading insolvently where the director(s) can be made fully liable for the company's debts. But yes in normal circumstances the company and you are separate. Scoops - I'd hold back against setting up a ltd co for now until you are up and running, there are a few costs associated with ltd company formation/running you would have to incur whi9ch you could probably do without in your early years. Accountancy fees being one of them. Although if you need any company forms or company names checking for availability gimme a shout :) Pete
  5. LOL Neil I hope the IR arent reading :p Dividends or bonuses arent tax free. Dividends are paid to the recipient net of 10/20/32.5% tax... and that is after the company has paid 0/10/19/30% tax on its profits out of which you are paying those dividends. Dividends are an appropriation of profits back to the shareholder(s) of the company, you will have paid tax on these profits and then get charged again to remove the money. There arent many ways to move money around nowadays where you can avoid tax. Bonuses are no different from wages and are subject to PAYE and Employers NI I assume you are talking about a limited company which yes is treated as a separate legal entity to the director(s) - ie you. The distinction between co and person is an advantage and is usually the reason people incorporate their businesses. Apologies if I've readyour post wrong of course ;) Pete
  6. Higher rate tax band is £31,400 this year Yeah scoops you will have to declare it on a yearly income tax form. Simplistically - the rate you would pay on it would be the same as you'd pay if you got in increase in pay in your day-to-day job for the same amount as your sideline income. Obviously there are all sorts of allowable expenses which you can push through your "business" ;) and other allowances.
  7. Hi-res one of mine on its way

  11. Hi mate, and welcome ;) With those mods and running 14.8psi he's probably running just over 400BHP at the flywheel.
  12. Got out of the house today and thought I'd strip the bits of the plenum I've bought to polish up. I presume the 2 valves in this picture are the EGR valve and the Idle Control Valve? I will remove/blank off the EGR when fitting the plenum, has anyone got any tips on this? Can I use the gasket I have as a template to make a blanking plate? Or is there a better way? I thought I'd take the EGR valve to bits, as you do ;) And discovered that it was stuck open - see pic. The tiny spring had broken - the bottom hook was snapped. It looks v weak for such a PITA of an item to replace  Typical Nissan. Stu (SMW1) - were there any symptoms of this when you had the plenum fitted? There is a waterline attached to a bracket which fits behind the EGR valve housing - will I still need this after the EGR is removed? There are 2 connector holders on it which I guess I can live without but what about the metal waterline - is this also bypassed when bypassing the TB ones? See pic: Cheers for any info and comments Pete

Its not the power thats the issue, its the brakes and the ratio of the weights of the tower/caravan. Ring a caravan place and they'll tell you what the minimum weight you'll need to pull it. I'd imagine it would be ok but best check.

Does anyone think that a lot of member registered before ~mid 2002 have a really rosey memory of the forum past, should we have an extra forum area called "ReminiscenZe" or something where they can all **** over Senna et al and the great contraversial comments? I registered when Warren was around and it seems everyone hated him bar a couple, now he and similar others are legends of the forum past to be hailed before bedtime... I bet he's sitting in SA with his alias username looking mighty smug  ;)
