Fair enough Yas :) The trouble is a good track/drivers car 99% of the time doesn't make a good drag car... people think because they've got XXXBHP then they should be able to get low times. I'd like to see what tyres most cars at Pod run on... I bet there's a few on budgets. I heard a guy in the queue at Pod complaining about the surface last summer, said he couldn't get any grip in his 250BHP turbo'd clio, which "span the wheels in 4th on the motorway in ther dry" :rolleyes: FFS get some decent tyres and have your tracking/camber etc checked you muppet!! No properly set up car should spin up at motorway speeds. People think it must mean their car is superquick :wack: You've spent thousands on your turbos conversion and can't use the "mega" power it produces, yeah well done. And relax :D

Kin'ell its Andy Duff :eek::wave: My auto TT got 13.28 @ 108 with 348BHP/367lbft. IMO stock suspension is an advantage unless you've got fully adjustable posh coilover thingies.

"Stage 3" There's a wiring diagram on http://www.h-dev.co.uk, you'll need one of Jez's chips which in turn needs bigger injectors. The Stage 3 chips are mapped for 444cc injectors. Or you can bodge it with out the injectors and chip, using an air-fuel controller. Pretty pointless though tbh without the injectors.

I drove really hard and my rear tyres were totally fine, it was the fronts that took the hammering, from braking and cornering. It's not like you take every corner sideways, and scrub the rears. Agree about the tuition - it makes you massively smoother, quicker and more confident in braking and cornering lines etc. They do push you hard though.

I'm sure everyone would say a proper trackday every time. I used to go to the Pod quite regularly... £10 to get in, £15 sign on, £5 food, £30 for a good day. Did an open pit lane day at Donington last month, £180 sign on, £240 tyres, £400 brakes, £20 helmets, etc etc. Truly fantastic day though, loved every minute :bow: Except my brakes finally giving up at stupid speeds into (and out of!!) Esses. Pod is popular because it is cheap.
