Hi All, looks like im getting somewhere with my on going running problem, found that the right O2 sensor doesnt very much when engine being rev'ed. it goes from 0.32v to 0.34v, this is a new sensor. what would cause it to sit at one voltage? casting my mind back this is fault i had with the old sensor aswell. going to start diag tomorrow, just need to know a couple of things first. Where is plug for the o2 sensor (making sure it plug into the correct one), wheres the earth point, fuses etc etc. Regards Andy
  3. thanks all for your replies, the plug for the left one is located on the side of the plenum coming out of the main loom is that correct? SuffolkZX ill just check the plugs again tomorrow its p***ing it down at the minute and i might take you up on the offer mate.
  4. yes connector on fine and all cleaned up, what should an o2 sensor be reading? at idle or reving etc
  5. anyone? really confused why the sensors are totally out to eachother. sometimes the one bank runs rich? could a leaking injector do this??

  8. Hi, Just been monitoring my sensors on the vehicle and these are the results im getting. The O2 sensors, the left one is goes from 0.02v up to 0.7v when reving at 2000rpm and the right one doesnt hardly move. these are both brand new sensors??   10. Hi, Going to remove the plemun tomorrow and take the injectors out for testing and recon if required. Does anyone know a good place for this, im in the west midlands and would like to take them and pick them up if poss. Regards Andy
  11. Seen it today in wales, black g-reg parked up, jap spec with 99 spec front bumper.
  12. my mate paid £50 to his local scrap man and he collected it and supplied a death cert when it had been crushed. the same at work with this new scrapage scheme. Dont know what rates scrap people charge now a days tho to collect.
  13. where can i get a 1megohm resister from? what they look like? is it easy enough to put into the loom?
  14. thanks guys, i think im going to remove the plenum anyways to check the rubber pipe on the injector rail and get the injectors recon'ed. is there anyways of checking which has failed? dont want to put it all back together with a new cable and still have the same fault?

Keep getting code 34 everytime i start the vehicle so looks like the sensor has failed. have checked the sticky with the relocation to the top of the head but dont like the sound of that. what type of job is it to replace the sensor? what other alternatives are there? also what problems will this give me if the sensor isnt working? whats the best place to buy one from? Hi All really need some help, im having problems with my Diag software, i brought the best usb to serial connector because the old one was giving me jumpy results. now they are steady. when i connect with ign on all is fine, but as soon as the vehicle starts the software freezes and the software looses communication with the vehicle and when i try and reconnect it says communication lost?? anyone came across this before?? Happens with 4 different types of diag software? Regards Andy

  19. lol no i like seeing the front, i think the rear of the Z is very boring to look at imo.
  20. theres some nice classics that people have owned. and theres loads of people whos first jap car was a Z. i would defo have a jap car again.
