What's this HID light upgrade thing then??
This is the problem. The MoT tester is gonna notice how bright the lights are and wont take 2 seconds to notice a mod like that, which might start em asking questions. Plus you have to butcher a set of lights to fit em! Curious and curiouser! Wonder if Paul C knows? Oh, Paul............................................... Nick

Must have tool!!
Axle stands are what I use now, but when the car is up in the air on all 4, its not the safest place to crawl underneath, especially not when u want to start writhing things off that are a bit tight under there. Thought that if this was all secured up there then could hammer, writhe and attack things with as much gusto as possible without worrying. Daft thing is I dumped 2 perfectly good ramps, that we used to have in our race truck, a few years back that would have been an ideal basis for a DIY version of this! Oh well. Nick

What's this HID light upgrade thing then??
Cos Mate, Seen all that stuff on the bacofoil job (no offense Iain!) but its the new fangled HID upgrade that I'm interested in learning about, especially as theres a group buy going on for it at the mo. Just trying to establish if its worth doing (anything is worth doing when lights are this shite) instead of/as well as all the other tweaks. Nick :)

Question
22 guys chasing a bag of wind across a meadow??? I think not! Give me rugby any day! Shrimpy, its obvious now! Oh no, another mighty morecambe supporter. One of the lads in our office is forever rambling on about em and goes to loads of the matches. Something about there being some Burnlet fans in with the Accrington lads on the Boxing day match he was wittering on about today. Still, we musnt hold this against you!! :) ;) Nick

What's this HID light upgrade thing then??
Not being a great fan of electric string and wiggly amps I aint so hot on what this new HID light upgrade is all about, so can someone give me some gen on it please! Whats it all about? Is it still necessary to do the COS reflective style upgrade as well? What bulbs do you have to use and do they cost an arm and a leg? They appear to light the road up much better (seen the TTNet piccies) but are they legal over here? Ta Nick

Diagnostics - Any use on the 300?
Thanks Paul. So it shouldnt be too hard to get holdof connectors to make up a dianostic cable to connct up the computer to the car by the sounds of it. Unlike the 300 where its cheaper to buy conzult than the connectors!! Nick

What OBD2 is too old, or our 300s are too old to recognise it? Nick

Range Rover Manual
Would do if I had any, but unfortunatley I dont. And I dont have a digital camera neither!! Its a 98 4.6 HSE in metallic blue with full beige leather. 60k odd miles dealer history Upgraded 18" Hurricane alloys with nearly new Pirelli scorpions fitted. 2000 light upgrade (clear lenses and stuff) light guards fitted Looks pretty good, but just in the process of changing the servo blend motors on the heating as the distribution motor has failed. I doubt my old fella would want to swop as he wants to release some capitol from the car and would be looking for a cheap 300 (in silver) despite the fact that yours is a nice motor. If you are seriously thinking about getting a P38 rangie then check out http://www.p38a.co.uk as its full of real useful info. Stuff I wish we knew before we bought!!! Nick
