  1. Alan, Jesus hes got so much bigger than the pics of when he was pup, what weight will he go to fully grown. Looks excellant mate. Love the look he gives.
  2. Pete, they told me it was group 18 last year, which i thought it was, but have confirmed that my zed is now a 19, not because of any reason, just the industry as a whole.
  3. Sorry folks, but im fuming for some reason got to let off steam. Will try and break it down a bit. Get my insurance renewal through from Norwich Union. last year it was £359 for full comp protected no claims (9 years+) all mods declared. This year come mid jan they want £620. Ive no claims or convictions, same as ive been before and have been insured with NU for past 11 years. Never claimed or any issues. 1. Ring up NU to ask why? to get told that its because my car is very powerfull and is now group 19, i challenge this and state why the increase ive been with you for ages? I'll chat to my manager, hold on. Whilst waiting ive completed the form on line with the exact details on my renewal with gocompare.com 2. Weve managed to bring it down by £32, is that ok? Oh yes, but why have esure just quoted me £219 for the exact amount of cover. she then tells me that esure will hide stuff and that NU are the main business in the market, a few discussions and im getting nowhere, call is finished. 3. I go online to Nu Direct, input the exact details on my renewal form and it comes up £460. a saving of £160 with the same details with my same ins company. I double check with esure and i will be getting more cover than i have at the mo with NU. and saving £401. Why should i be screwed over because my zed is now group 19, im a good boy and dont get in trouble, apart from the odd issue on a disused airfield. Rant over. Stu
  4. LOL i love the look on these guys faces, "How the fook are we going to get this off?" :headvswal
  5. If its been sat for a while then it might have issues with poor running, need to get it checked out, tuning wise depends on your wallet. Did the reg plate C300X come with it? if so your very very lucky. Welcome
  6. Sounds fuel related, i would give all the connections, coil packs injectors a clean to start with. Have you ever cleaned or replaced the fuel filter? Are you running an aftermarket air filter, blitz hks etc, if so they can be cleaned with K&N kit. Did mine, made a huge difference However ive had similar on mine, as it would drive like a bag of poo suddenly for no apparent reason. Two faults, 1st was a faulty coil pack that would die when engine at full heat or under load. 2nd was after a very long drive the idle would mess about. Did a full throttle body clean and idle control valve with some carb cleaner, put it all back and its been spot on ever since.
  7. LOL sorry mate but thats one of the funniest threads for a while. I know how you feel, as i have days like this. Those are the kind of days you just want to go to bed and finish the day off so tomorrow can come quicker. Zeds are like marmite, you either love em or hate em............ Still giggling as typing this. lol Stu

  9. Nick, its a shame but after chatting to you at various meets i understand the reasons. I think you did the best you could with what you were given. Its not easy trying to get folks to meet up. Good job mate. Stu
  10. My UK TT Manual is my 2nd zed in a row, i bought it knowing it had a few problems, ive done all the work myself and gained loads of knowledge on how to fix things, i now help other members fix theirs local to me. It is now far more reliable than when i first got it, in better condition and much quicker too. I enjoy getting mucky and smashing my knuckles, but for me its a passion and the best of hobbies. If i look after her she will look after me. Stu
  11. Good on you folks, did the test give much results and help towards the investigation of the crash? Was it just the rears or all of the tyres replaced? Nick i hope you changed your number plate..................
  12. Munny, i wake up sometimes in the night, log on here , and your on here, i get up early, and your here, then i see threads like this and your working at night. Dont you ever sleep??? LOL good on yer mate, im knackerd after having to much beer. How the fook do you keep going? lol
  13. Ive been working out what i want to do and am going to do to the zed over the winter, Fit New RPS clutch, poly bushes, prop bearing, cromed headlights, HID kit, full engine bay silcone hoses, polished plenium, spray front bumper and bits around the car, Re do all exterior trim with plastidip, Thats not including breaking the jap one, Its never ending.................. Whose doing what else...................?
  14. Get the engine out first as the plenium is used to help removal. Once out loads more room to get it off. It can be done with it off but hassle. As for purging the fuel system??? ive removed 3 zed engines now and all ive ever done is remove the pipes from fuel filter, only a bit of fuel is spilt.
  15. the prob is that over time they all become very brittle, another way to go is to buy a complete new loom, that has every connection new aswell. Try SWZ in traders too, one thing to bear in mind, is that there isnt much room for anything around the plenium. One bit of advice is pay £20 and become a subscribed member as it opens up a load of other thenical stuff, most folks have had problems on here and it has a vast knowledge base. Stu
  16. Thats clever, Looks good. I like it when folks try differnt stuff out of the norm. Well done mate
  17. Check the traders section on here, DTA or MJP should be able to get them. Or try zcentre, see this link. http://www.zcentre.co.uk/shop/index.php?cPath=21_52_47
  18. Over the past few weeks my starter motor has been fooking about. Ive got a spare from my breaker to put on, but tonight the starter has had enough and being a complete bast**d instead of a turning sound its more of a whine and defo not starting. Im sure its now well and truly flooded. Im changing the motor tomorrow, what do i need to do to get the fuel flood out. If after putting on the new motor i disconnect the fuel pump, with this dump the fuel ????? POXY ZEDS are like marmite, either love em or hate em.
  19. Happy Birthday mate....
  20. I joined after i blew my zed up in France having a play with an Aston, firstly for the vast knowledge ,made some good mates on here, like going to meets and meeting folks and offering advice on stuff if ive come across it already. Also for some of the funny stuff that goes on here, good banter. Still got loads of folks i want to meet. Well worth the £20.
  21. Sorry Ian, after watching that video, can you imagine what it would have sounded like at the barracks in Winchester.........LMAO:)
  22. Trust me the first time you do it yourself, you think youve got all the bolts off, but there is plenty of em, its not that bad once you start
  23. Its not fair i love the snow, and yes i do take the zed out in it, great fun Im the biggest kid and always have to make the first snowman or start a fight with my oap neighbours.
  24. Seems okay, nice to see a good honest advert, worth a look
