Just bought a new Nismo gearknob, have had a little trial fitting with it and it seems that it's gonna leave a gap between the bottom and the gaitor. Have been thinking of a few different options but just wondered what people had done who've fitted after market gear knobs, and if they got a replacement gaitor which one did you go for? Cheers.

Depends if you had a receipt stating the deposit was non refundable or not really. Legally, if the guy wanted the money back he'd have to take it through a small claims court I'd imagine. Crappy situation to be in. :(

Uh, well there have been quite a few independant tester's who've tested it and found it better than Optimax. And it does have a higher octane rating IIRC. From personal experience I can say that while there's no substantial power increase that I've noticed, the car does run smoother after a few tanks.

Yeah saw it a while ago, caption says "one of the best Zeds around". I'd be proud, it's still national coverage of your car! And these guys do get to see some of the best cars in the world. Top Secret, Nemesis, Veilside and Sumo power cars are all "proper" cars :-)

Well after thinking my driver's side repeater had gone, I noticed when setting the alarm the bottom of the wing flashes! Upon closer inspection it would appear the bulb holder has fallen inside the wing. Apart from taking the indicator off and getting a coat hanger in there (my first thought), how would I get inside the wing? Can I access it by taking the arch liner off?

Was there tues just gone, got the same letter. After speaking to the guy's from bluewater for a bit it seems it's not the meet they have a problem with, just the chavs acting like d***heads. He agreed that people liek us who've spent seroius amounts on our rides arn't likely to go doughnutting in a public car park. What worries me is if they start getting more seroius and have more police there, giving everyone hassle over small things (number plates, tints etc). That'll kill it in no time. Shame as it was a good little meet, managed to talk to some nice people and my mate with a Scooby even managed to get a new spoiler on the cheap!

Ok been searching for a while and can't seem to the find the exact answer I'm looking for. Basically I have a Jap spec Z and am changing the stereo over from the jap one to my UK Alpine one. I've got an adaptor from Halfords but is it the same for the UK one and Jap spec cars? The little book in Halfords only listed one type for 300zx. Any one know which one I need? Cheers

Done. Over 14000 now!!!!! Have to say I was deeply shocked when I heard Hamster was in an accident, and hope he has a speedy and full recovery. This is one of the few programmes left on TV that I watch religiously, and I have to say it's 10x better than anything else. So what if they don't review new cars? All reviews are going to be biased slightly to due the reviewers personal taste. If I want to know about a car I'll take it for a test drive or look up some user reviews on the net. The fact that they have a 200 year witing list to go on the show shows how popular it is (ok slight exageration but you get the idea :D )

Owned a Honda Civic ESi and loved it for two and a bit years. Never missed a beat and nothing EVER went wrong. So I decided I needed a change and bought a 300zx :D No seriously, I spent way too much money on the civic as cars are my biggest passion, then when the piston rings went I decided I had spent enough money on it and modifying any more was just throwing money away. The Zed draws so much attention and it's still quite rare, and in my opinion the best value for money/looks/performance. I love Jap cars as well so it was this or a Pulsar GTiR, but the looks of the 300zx swayed it for me

Is that the nice part or do you have to sleep in the car at night :) The car don't half stand out on my road, the most exotic car in the area is an Audi S3! The back end stepped out about ten mins before you saw me, some plank stepped out in front of me and tried to play traffic warden (pi**ed obviously!). Forgot what I was driving and accelerated from stand still around a corner. Whoops! Only slightly but gave me something to think about :)

Yeah that was me mate I did see you! I tell you, I owned a bright red Civic with black alloys and an AEM V2 induction kit that made it sound like an F1 car and nobody noticed me!!! TWO days of owning my Zed and I'm spotted! I bloody love this car! Picked the car up on sat, it's a Jap spec TT. was concentrating on not spinning the wheels again in the rain otherwise I'd have given a wave :-) Car looked good mate, where do you live then? Was visting a mate's girlfriend.

I'm 21 2yrs no claims and I just bought a TT Zed and transferred my insurance over no probs. With elephant. Give em a call!
