is this a good deal by t-mobile for upgrade?
Ring them back and tell them your leaving and you want you're PAC code (code that let's you use your tel no. on another network). Girlfriend did this recently when she wanted an N95. First time she called up to ask they said £150, can't do any better because it's such a new phone costs x much off line blah blah blah. So she rang back, said she was leaving and they gave it to her for £40 with a better tarriff! In my experience you have to make these people work for your money.

EU ban on modded exhausts lol
If it's true then it'll be completely unworkable. At the moment new car's exhausts have to be below a certian db at specific revs measured by driving past a fixed sound meter. Companies like Aston currently get round this by having active exhaust valves that open up above certain revs to make them louder. No way the police are gonna be able to do those tests on the road side with any degree of accuracy. Like most of the laws coming out of the EU it's a load of horse sh*t. Like the whole child seat fiasco. All kids under a certain height must have a child seat or booster seat. But the Police have no power to measure children to enforce the law. So how the hell is any one gonna get fined!!!! Halfords neglected to point that out I noticed when they were advertising the change in the law to everyone to get them to buy a seat......

Stalling/Not starting/Throttle not working!
Right, just went out and had a look at the PTU, MAF and CSU. All the connectors look fine, no corrosion. Tried disconnecting the MAF and the way the car revs with it disconnected was how it was acting at the weekend. So cleaned the plug and sprayed a bit of WD40 on the connectors just incase. Just took it for a drive, only round local roads, and it now stalls everytime you brake hard, like it was doing before, but it starts up again alot easier, no need for immobilisor to kick in. Would this mean a fault with the MAF? Still stuck as to what it could be!

Stalling/Not starting/Throttle not working!
No doesn't have blackjack. Just standard G5 450 (I think it's 450, one below the top spec 900 anyway. If I'm quick enough I can jump it if it stalls while rolling by lifting clutch, just runs sh*tty and then stalls again.

Stalling/Not starting/Throttle not working!
Yeah thought about that, but a fault with that wouldn't cause the lack of acceleration surely? No other problems with the alarm/immobilisor. The stalling at junctions sounds like the common fault alot of people have posted up about. It's on the list though cheers for the help!

Stalling/Not starting/Throttle not working!
Don't have a spare PTU unfortunatly, just had a look and it's a series 2 PTU, these are supposed to be really reliable right? Don't fancy spalshing out on a new one if it's fine. I'll have a go at cleaning the connectors on it and the MAF/CAS, see what happens then. As for the MAF, am I right in thinking that if it IS working then the revs won't be stuck under 2200 when I unplug it? Is that right?

Stalling/Not starting/Throttle not working!
I know what you mean, thing is I don't think it's the immobilisor, can't really f*ck about with it either as I don't want to void the warranty. I think allowing it to come on resets the fuel pump or something, after diggin around I'm leaning towards the MAF being the problem. Also the engine struggles before cutting out, rather than just suddenly stopping as would be expected with the immobilisor cutting in. Problem with most of the threads on here about problems is no one posts up how they sorted it. SO if any one can make any more suggestions and I solve it I promise to let everyone know! :)

Stalling/Not starting/Throttle not working!
Well that's about the list of things that are wrong :) However I think it's all related. Car has now started to stall when pulling up to junctions, but also when pulling away from roundabouts. When coming off a mini roundabout tonight I was accelerating gently and all of a sudden it was like I'd taken my foot off the accelerator, no revs and car started slowing. Tried pressing accelerator but nothing it was like it was disconeccted, car just slowed and stalled. Tried to restart but would just turn over, wouldn't catch. Left it for a while, and the immobilisor came on, so turned the key, plipped the fob to turn the immobilisor off and car started first time. Drove home veeeeerrrrry carefully as had to make it through the Blackwall tunnel, *****c*s was I getting stuck in there :) Any way no problem on the way home, but the car has now done this four time in two days and it's incredibly frustrating. The throttle problem has occurd at various speeds, changing gear normally sorts it for some reason. The stalling is new, and strange coz it starts first time before setting off. Each time it's stalled I've had to wait for the immobilisor to come on before being able to restart it. HAve done some searching, I don't think it's the alarm (Clifford G5 proffesionally installed last year) just don't know why the immobilisor going on then off would help it. Any help would be much appreciated guys and gals. Thanks.

How bloody ugly???!!!
When they first launched the kit Abflug did three demo cars in red, blue/silver and yellow, they looked pretty good. Can't find any pics at the mo. Silver just doesn't suit the kit.

New toy?
The one in the pic is not the one with the Viper Engine. That's just your basic Ram which is pretty cr*p. I must admit I can see the appeal though :) Guy down the road from me has the Ram SRT-10 (8.3 litre V10) and I must admit it looks so much fun :-) He also has a 911 as a daily driver so says alot about the truck!

Anyone used MDKL off ebay?
Have had a gearbox from them, in the process of getting a refund for the postage as they delivered it to my house when I specifically told them to send it to the garage that was fitting it. Also, advert said it was steam cleaned, which it wasn't as it was covered in sh!t. Also very cagey about leaving feedback until you've left them positive feeback. To be honest I'd rather use someone else but they do have a ready supply of boxes and the one I got seems fine (touching all the wood I can find ;) ) Can't vouch for the mileage but the new one feels as good as the original which was 50k on my car.

Mike Reid passes away
Just seen this on the news. Have to say that apart from playing one of the best characters in EastEnders for years, he was one of my favourite comedians. Very sad indeed.

So I take it the issues with this meet have been sorted then? The last time I was there there were staff and police handing out leaflets and telling people not to meet there.

Gumball 3000 2007 (Pic heavy!!!)
What one mate? Yeah there were some awesome cars, Jason Plato in the A1GP car was amazing, OMG THE NOISE!!!! Did a rolling burnout all the way up Pall Mall, legend :) Was disapointed with the lack of Jap cars in general, can't remember seeing any. The orange and black SLR is actually a SLR 722, pretty special.
