So does that mean you get a receipt, cos so far have never managed to get one for anything i have bought from GPS.:(
  6. i'm a funeral director but training to become an embalmer. Bet there is no-one else on here with the same job.
  7. are you sure its not just the starter motor packed up. can you turn it by hand Bob.
  8. wouldn't have thought it would seize like that, might be just full up with water. Try taking spark plugs out and cranking it to get it out. If not bent conrods and valves are likely.
  9. Are the 300zx injectors top feed? Does that mean the fuel in the top or the electrical plug in top?
  10. i would personally go a bit stiffer on the rears as they seem a bit soft on middle, but not going to change them yet.
  11. yeah they are pretty straight foward. Just get the plates under the springs the right way up. Trouble with Koni is that the rear ones you have to take off and apart to adjust, and i would prefer them a bit harder than the middle but cant be arsed to take apart again.
  12. I changed mine last weekend. I was a complete bitch of a job. The bushes came from suspension.com in the us, took about a week to get here but slighty cheaper than over here. Someone told me that the whole job should take about about 8 and a half hours - try tripling that! :rolleyes:The whole rear subframe needs to come off, which means disconnecting the brake pipes, hicas and exhaust and having to bleed then afterwards. If you don't have a press to get the bushes out be ready for a lot of hammering and noise, but after the first one you have the hang of it and can get each one out in about half an hour. You should really change the diff bushes aswell if you are doing the subframe ones as it will save you alot of time at a later date. Doesn't really affect the ride, i just seem to have a clonk somewhere yet to find where from. If you need any advice on fitting them you know where i am - on here.;) Paul.
  13. Am thinking of getting 18's. 8 on front and 10 or 9 on back. Can I have recommendations on tyre sizes to keep the speedo true.
  14. Where is the cheapest place to buy Kosei Snipers? In need of some new wheels and think I will buy myself a nice christmas pressy
  15. I'm insured with DirectLine at mo, but recently found out from Lifesure.co.uk that a quote from them is about £500 cheaper. I know who i'll be with next year! Didn't do imports when i took policy out.
  16. Had another look today and stupid me had fitted them incorrectly. I had put the plate on the bottom of the spring up the wrong way which also made sure I had fitted the front springs to the rear - wot a twat. Anyway sorted now and it sits alot better. Should have kept this quiet really but someone else might be as daft as me and this will help them out.

you might want to try area code 01942 or you will end up getting someone else. lol
  18. there is not alot to clean on it. I use a nail file to get the crap off the terminals. The wires going into it also loop back onthemselves so might be broken, sure mine are, try putting them in a different position. HTH
  19. Thinking about buying some gauges, but have had an HKS din pod for them for ages so the size I need is 46mm. How much bigger is the face than the back, cos I can't find any cheap enough except 38mm. Just wandering if the front would cover the holes in the plate. Anyone know where you can get some cheapish 46mm dials except HKS.
  20. Have you cleaned the idle valve?
  21. yes mine is an import. it did look fine with the old springs but was doing the shocks so thought i would do the rest as well. They must be about 35mm higher than they where so might end up putting the old ones back and selling them again if they don't settle down.
  22. Finally got round to fitting new Koni's and Blitz lowering springs. Onlyhad time to do the rear so far tho. One of the old ones was completely knackered as it didn't even come back up after pushed, anyway, the trouble is that the springs are supposed to lower the car about 35mm but instead they seem to have raised it. Have i fiited something wrong or is there something to adjust? Trouble is I can't read Japanese.
  23. Ah excellent. I have just been doing this and couldn't work out why i still had air in the system. I forgot all about this. Good luck with the repair kit Andy.
  24. How do you bleed the hicas? Anyone please. Do you just turn wheels?
  25. o no sorry. confused a bit there. the new ones are energy ones. old ones are std. what a bitch to do.
