  1. Is it exhaust fumes or petrol as these cars are notorious for leaking fuel lines on the plenum which get worse as the cold weather starts due to the pipe work contracting!
  2. I would say something about 150 amp is more than enough for anything you will come up against and your household fuses will cope easily, it will also be able to drop to a nice low amperage for when you hit some really thin metal. As for gas I would recomend Argosheild Light not CO2 although if you are welding outside gasless wire might be the way to go but the weld finnish will not be as good. http://www.boconline.co.uk/products/products_by_type/industrial_gases/shielding_gases/argoshield/2_litre_argoshield_light_filled_cylinder.asp Don't forget good gaunlets and a helmet that covers all of you face to protect you from the UV, all of this stuff apart from the gas can be bought cheaply from ebay or from someone like me at vastly higher prices! lol
  3. I think Machinemart are the main distributor for clarke and at the price range you are looking at the link below may better suit. http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/search/filter/diy-mig-welders/type/any/module/shopcategory/page/1 You don't want to go for anything to powerfull as once you start going over 180amp your house hold 13amp fuses may not cope, you may get away with plugging it into the cooker ring main but even that is only (I think) 16amp. Once you get up around 250 amp the will need a 30 or fourty amp fuse, the 300 amp in the link is actualy 3 phase 415v!
  4. That link takes you to a 300 amp lincoln with a seperate wire feed unit, it's a car he is trying to repair not build an aircrft carrier!
  5. Will do my best what ever day is picked even a Sunday!
  6. Funny thats exactly what I thought but didn't want to be the pot calling the kettle black! lol
  7. I used to be with talktalk but switched to BT after getting pissed off with talktalks service and attitude! Didn't want to go to BT but had no choice as had been local loop unbundled by talktalk. BT was great to start but I have had more problems (probably ten fold) with BT than I ever had with talktalk, unfortunately I had to take an 18 month contract.
  8. Ho Ho Ho! Count me in! :chef:

Sorry can't do Saturday as I have to many sick people to visit  but you are welcome to come for a blast on Sunday, the wife is off so can do or go anywhere (who am I kidding lol)! :scooter:
  15. To be honest mate I have used Zeds are my daily drivers for about five years now even through the winter, last year my car was of the road for about a month at most as the snow was to deep to dig it out. You live near the coast so it can't be that bad, as a kid I loved sledging I have never managed to get it out of my blood even if it's a 400 horse draw sledge!:euro:
  16. I have just fitted some EBC yellow stuff and I'm fairly happy with them, had Ds2500 before but found them a bit tough on the disc's.
  17. The Honda looks good in the pic's you should go and have a look in the flesh, to be honest at this time of year it might be a good swap. Your n/a is looking really good now I'm sure it would sell for somewhere between 1K-1.5k if you have the time to wait , if you want to compare you are welcome to come for a spin with me to see what you are missing out on at the next meet if we can get our arses in gear
