I think that part is part of the bumper. You mean is it a bumper remove job to spray it? If so I'd imagine if you wanted to spray it you could do it either off or on.

Cool. Probably would have done some drilling but I was in a mad rush today. Had lots of family coming to dinner so was in and out the house. Finally got to use my dremel too to cut out the holes for the components. Amazing piece of machinery! So what speakers did you have before? Its great having sound coming from somewhere near your ear level isn't it.

What material is the grey/plasticky bit on some front bumpers? I mean the strip that goes inbetween the fogs. I'm thinking that maybe as I'm a bit of a cowboy when it comes to my stereo(but one that doesn't go cowboy on other peoples stuff) I could get you to sort the alarm and the proper fitting of my stereo in one go? Whats your schedule like? do I need to book months in advance? And how much you think it might cost? It'd be cool if you could do the speaker mounting for me as although I'm really good att ripping door cards off I'm not so great at putting them back on again ;) BTW I did a search about components vs 6X9's and I read a lot of your posts and they're mostly from 2002. Major pain must have put the door cards on and taken them off again about 4 times for the first speaker. Only got one done on sat due to failing light but the new 6.5 components sound so much better compared to the old coaxials. Only problem is though that each speaker is only held in by one screw at the moment as I had a severe time limit. Will they shake themselves off any time soon?

...when I'm fitting my new speakers and lets say I've only finished doing one speaker, then will both speakers (1 old & 1 new) work without doing any damage? Cheers Al
