Take the balance bar off its a lot easier to get to the rear 2, they should easily come off if you get a flat skrew driver under them. Mike sells his connectors for about £25 for 3 which includes wire already fixed to the connector so can be soldered strait into the loom

clean the connector on the CAS first before removing it, if you do remove it mark where its position is before removing it, then clean off any crap that might be behind it. First see how you get on with the ECU sender

is it fuel or exhaust fumes you can smell? i had smell of exhaust fumes coming in when i had the window open, cleaned o2 senser connectors up re set ECU by taking the battery off over night and it cured it, only get it now and then if i change grade of fuel if i cant get Vpower but goes after a few miles

Have you checked the ECU temp sender, the yellow one one the water pipe going into the engine? These can get crudded up and give the ECU the wrong reading making it think its still running cold so therefore advancing the timing and causing the engine to run rice as if it was still on choke If not try a chimeny sweep :rofl: just kidding

Also check the operation of the throttle bodies to see if its not one of them that is snapping shut

check the 2 large air intake pipes and the 2 large outer pipes from the turbo for tightness, you may have to trace the pipes down to the turbos and intercoolers too to check the tightness there as well. Also check BOV's if fitted or re-circs under the nose panel. Does the boost gauge read full boost still?

we have the same sort of thing fitted to Trains can be your saviour or your enemy. Reads what position you have the speed controller in how long you had it open for, what speed your doing what speed your doing over a cautionary signal magnet when you cancelled the AWS automatic warning system horn over a cautionary signal magnet otherwise the emergancy brakes come on automaticlly or if you gone over an over speed loop brakes come on then too, also records what step you have the brake in when braking etc etc records everything, they can tell exactly what speed you been doing at any point on the line. Cant get away from it, if you fook up its all recorded, sometimes they randomly down load them, find out if you fooked up that way as well
