Headlamp problem
Check if there is power at the fuse box, if so its got to be between the fuse and the relay then, you can only trace it back and find the break, easier to put another wire through and disconnect the old one from the fuse box

It might just be a case of chinese whispers mate, i have heard people at shows looking at my car, and telling a mate next to them they are like 600bhp or something stupid, might not be his fault

400+ bhp out of an N/A
ahh thats it, he must have the rocket motor from the bat mobile! :x: Comon who ever bragged slightly to much own up! Public slogging coming up. To get 100bhp per 1000cc or more the engine has to rev higher. Do Na's have vvt like the tts? Even so its not the same as the vvt used in the honda engines that do produce 100bhp/1000cc i have read. I did see an old F1 car on that racecars site the 300zx was found on, that was 1350bhp/1500cc!!!! And about 800kgs. was a tt v6 as well, would deffo fit in a z!! That was dry sumped of course and revved to like 20k.

insurance
I was 22, with 3 years ncb last year and I found it difficult. Most places were around the 3k mark or wouldnt touch it with a big stick. Managed to get £850 quid TPFT not looking forward to april when it comes up for renewal :( Will be 23 with (touch wood) 4 years ncb and clean licence as before. Not bothered about going fully comp as wouldn't claim to get her repaired anyways as would just be a write off these days for the smallest dent. Also cant drive other cars till im over 25 now the law has changed, not even if im on a fully comp policy. Deffo protecting my ncb asap, at 4 years you can get it protected i belive. shortly after buying the z i bought a 1.3 fiesta for 100 quid to get about in. I used my ncb on the z so had to say had 0 when insuring it. Cheapest quote £480! I put it in the mrs name with her having 0 years (8 used on her car) me as a named driver (again 0 years ncb as its used on the z) £180 quid with the same broker! Considering putting the z in her name with me as named driver on a classic policy. Only prob is it would be using the ncb from the fiesta so would only be 1 year. mmmm big pile of poo! Would be good to do that tho as i could then use my 4 years for me and get something better than a 1.3 to go to work in. 306 gti or simula im thinking

I'm seriously considering putting the z in the mrs's name on a classic policy now with me as named driver.

fitting an electric passenger seat
I read that s2 seats dont have bolster adjustment - well these do! Not sure about the heater elements. The wires going to the seat belt release are only on my original '89 seats. I do like the push button lock system on the headrest on the s2 seats, my old ones dont have this.

fitting an electric passenger seat
Right got the seats. They are not perfect but in good condition and just need a really good clean and treatment. Both seats are complete with subframes. Looked at the wiring connectors and the drivers has a 6 pin spade connector block and the passenger a 4 pin spade connector block. The passenger seat doesnt have hight adjustment so it has less wires. I have not looked at my car yet but i am assuming the drivers seat will be plug and play and i will have the 6 pin connector on the car. What i want to know is the function of each of the 4 pins on the passenger connecter, why would there be 4? I would have thought it would just need power. :wack: Ok looked at my seats and it appears that the seat belt connectors have connectors for safety switches or something as there is some wiring going from the seat belt plugs to the car. I take it I can just leave them dissconnected as they are not on the series 2 seats i just got. Oh yeah, another question, the bolts at the rear of the subframe to the car appear to have some anti tamper metal covers over them or something, do these just pull off?
