Right the seal seems to have worked, got no oil leaks. Have got some vibration between 65-70mph tho. Not much but it is noticable. It seems to be getting better but its still there. I had the prop fully rebalenced when it was shortened. Whats the best fix for this, just remounting until I get it right?

dark blue for me, id have to set fire to it tho as i hate beemers!

Got one on the front already, not sure which one but i know its one of the better ones, You will have to look at my rides and see if you can tell. How much of a difference will the rear one make? My hicas is still active as far as i know, what effects will this have? Thanks, Ed

I have just been paid Yey! Thinking about getting a rear strut brace. I want to keep my rear parcel blind if possible. Just wondering how much work is involved and which panels i will need to destroy to fit one?

Put the car back on the ground this morning, reconnected the batt and started her up. She started on the first crank of the engine and purred away :) Not bad for saying its been stood for over 4 weeks and normally clicks like hell for the first min or so when shes been stood for a while. Just a couple more mods to do now and it will be as i want it. :)

Yeah thats what i meant, had to push it right in the gearbox then pull it out a bit to get it over the, er Flange and bolt it on! Is the rear gearbox seal i can see just a dust cover or something then? mmm Fingers crossed

if one of the turbo bearings has some play in it the impeller fan can hit the turbo casing, but that sounds more like a grinding

nope, was custom made. It is exactly the same length as the stock one i gave them to copy.

Right I have put the new prop on and bolted it up tight, i tightened it like you would a wheel so its on flush and straight. The only worry I have is that the spline doesn't appear to be pushed into the gearbox all the way. When i mounted it i pushed the spline all the way into the gearbox but had to pull it out about 2cm for it to bolt tight onto the diff. Is it normal for the shaft spline not to be pushed in all the way? Is the rear gearbox oil seal still going to seal or am I going to have a huge oil leak when I drive it?! And yes i did remember to put the gearbox oil back in!

My new prop is now on and so far one exhaust! Ill get around to the other this week and put the car back on the ground. As long as it starts and is gearbox oil leak free I'll be there!

Bleed it again, and then do it again! Same happened to me mate.

Wilson driveshafts in bullwell notts have just corrected a single piece one i bought, they were brillant and said they could make the whole thing to order no problem I dropped mine off at 4pm on thursday afternoon, picked it up 10am this morning and its all done! They even repainted it, looks spot on. cant recommend them enough, great service
