Why are you doing a det sensor check, if the car has a faulty det sensor it is unlikely to be detting, due to it being in safety boost?

are you saying it is not producing boost full stop or not boosting in neutral which it won't do anyway.

If you can hear detonation in your car then it is bad, and it needs attention urgently, it can vary in noise, sometimes can sound like pinking and sometimes can sound someone scrunching up a crisp packet.

You say he can retard the igntion using knock, but this is not ideal, and they may want to advance the ignition? Personally I would go for a custom map every day of the week and since we have that ability on the board at a reasonable price, it would be wise to use it.

And also ignition timing. The SAFC is not a wise way of tuning the zed, it alters the fueling by adjusting the signal from the afm, deceiving the ecu, which uses the afm signal to adjust the ignition timing accordingly.

Maybe your speed convertor was playing up and that was causing you problems!

I would take the sponge out and dry it off or it could cost you £100 plus for a used MAF, if it is not already cream crackered!
