Sorry to hear this steve, with the eco nazis now having the upper hand, it may be a struggle! A letter to the council explaining how this came about, your financial position and asking for some sort of appeal procedure/leniancy may be a start? The pad does not need to be bigger but closer to the centre of the wheel.

You are covering less surface area of the pad, the caliper is built on a smaller curve and some disc does not hit the pad, leaving the pad overhanging the disc, the bigger the disc the more pad overhangs.

Also you are covering less surface area of the pad with the bigger disc!

You can pour vinegar into the recesses and that cleans it ok!

Be easier and cheaper to spray the jap sides with a dark tint?

What this country has done financially has little to do with the current state of affairs, this is a global recession and the exchange/interest rate has been lowered to try and boost exports and lower the cost of lending to boost business/consumer spending!

Are you talking about cast turbo manifolds or the NA manifolds?
