Hi, I vaguely remember a Classic car mag article informing about a insulation material for wiring etc. The reason being, is the mechanic, Dazza the Z man says he has never seen a Z with the original knock sensor intact from heat!! Hi, As most of you probably know I am in the middle of rebuilding my engine! Is there a comprehensive list anywhere showing the hoses that would be easier to replace when rebuilding a z engine? I don't want to replace the obvious ones that are easy to replace with the engine in situ! Please feel free to "fire" away with any fireman related engine building hose jokes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mark

Hi Eric, I want to use the oil filter bracket as it is the easiest way to block the oil pressure feed to the oil cooler, going thermostatic now! I have spoken to Mike Feeny and he says he has converted all his Racing Z's to oilstats and has had no probs, he thinks Nissan use the pressure activated oil cooler because its cheaper!!!!
