  1. Excuse my naivity but do I have to get one specific card for my camera or is there more flexibility?
  2. Hi, I am after a drivers side mirror shell, i.e. just the outerbody of the mirror! If you have one give me a shout! Markl
  3. C'mon Guys someone must have one for sale? Mark
  4. Hi, Has anyone got any cheap links for these? Mark
  5. Hi, Just wondering if anyone has had any experience removing one or installing one, I want to swap the unit from one car to another and would appreciate any advice!!
  6. Have a good one matey!! Mark
  7. LOL no just haven't done my empirical study yet!
  8. I gutted for ya mate! But at least you have all the contacts, you may be better writing it off, nudge nudge wink wink!! Mark
  9. The majority has spoken then! LOL OK then a significant proportion of people have them go, I just haven't had time to do an empirical study! :D Mark
  10. Yes Mate, I would say the majority of people on here who have had the Decat jobby, have had their turbo seals go! So be prepared, 500 notes for the exhaust £1000 for the tubs and minimum £500 for fitting! Mark
  11. At the end of the day Chris you were unlucky, How many people have you heard of on the forum that have destroyed a con rod! All you have to do is get some forged pistons if you want to be extra careful, and set your car up on a proven setup! Depending on how much driveability, bhp you want and how much of a budget you have! Talking of budgets I had better shut up! LOL Mark
  12. It can also run high on EGT's as well, indicating that the engine is not running correctly! If we are to believe what we are told, then EGT's can give an indication of detonation/preignition, if you get a more precise logging device then you can record your engines performance! You can keep a log of it and monitor differences in engine parameters! The EGT can also give an indication that you are running with correct fueling so potentially having a dual purpose! The detonation sensor device I believe uses its own detonation sensor, I know very little about it! I have a done a search on the RX7 forum and it is called a J&S knock sensor, I think it is expensive! http://www.jandssafeguard.com/products.html Mark
  13. Unfortunately it won't work!! The stock det sensor does not detect detonation above 3000rpm, there is a device that does but costs 370ish the guys on the rx7 forum have had some success with this! The only practical option is to get two egts gauges with warning lights for a temp above 900 Mark
  14. Hi, What diameter gauges fit in the space below the radio? And where can I get the predrilled panel to accomodate them? Are there any other methods of attaching gauges apart from the A pillar method as the convertible has a different A pillar! The stillen centre shroud is too expensive! Anyone know of an EGT gauge that will fit in that space, that shows peak hold or history and has a warning feature? Mark
  15. Cheers Mate, due to logistical reasons I might have to grab it off you, if you are ever near London soonish! Mark
  16. Just to let you know it is now mhanley@btinternet.com! Mark
  17. Hi, After a TT front bumper if anyone has one up for sale, or even better wants to give it to me cos I'm such a nice bloke! Andy I'm still need your bumper as well! Mark
  18. Hi, Unless having a 2+2 TT or slicktop or convertible TT is your hearts desire, its not worth it the extra hassle and money! Just wait around for a good TT to come up for sale! Mark
  19. Hello Mate, Been doing a bit of research and apparently Mobil 1 oil filters are the bollox of the dog variety!!! Could you find out if they do one that fits the z and maybe if they do one that is larger in capacity and flows and filtrates to the same or higher spec than the original? All the Best, Mark
  20. Hello Mate, You did say you were getting uprated gaskets, so I presumed they were metal ones! The reason why Number 6 cylinder goes bang is due to a fault in the block manufacturing process, the old flashings from the casting virtually cover the the coolant flow to no 6 cylinder. So when you get your engine rebuilt, get them to take out the core plugs and file away the casting flashings! 350 BHP is well within the capabilites of a Z engine running correctly! Good Luck with your rebuild Mark
  21. Smithy just out of interest who makes the Ball bearing turbos and which model are they? Just for your information you don't need forged pistons for 400BHP and some people are of the opinion that you do not need them until 600ish BHP! Also metal head gaskets are only meant to last as long as stock ones! My choice of turbos would be Smithys, great value for a grand Garrett BB GT25's, Great performance but aggro to fit PE1420's! Slightly more expensive than the Garret but bolt straight on apparently, talk to Duffman! Mark

Might as well fit new rear engine seal and gearbox seal while you are at it, cheap and mega ag if they start leaking! If you are flushed with money get a RPS lightened flywheel as well, meant to make a fair bit of difference! It would also be easier to change your gearbox oil to Redline MT90 while it is off! Not on a budget are you LOL Mark
  23. There is some debate on TT.net about the fuel pump!! It is not whether the fuel pump can deliver the amount of petrol for big hp, but whether it can deliver the pressure required for greater than 17PSI boost! It has been discussed that the oem Z pump can only get to 60PSI, when you get to pressures above 17PSI you need 70-75PSI! One of the potential problems of putting uprated pumps on is that it might not be compatible with the OEM EFI system! Not disagreeing with anyone, just putting some info up to be discussed!! Mark
  24. Hi, I have spoken to Bosch UK Technical Dept about a higher CC replacement for the Zeds injector! They say they have found a higher CC side feed injector ( the EV10 series), but without the actual physical dimensions and impedance of the ZED injector being available they cannot help me any further! Can anyone help? Also does anyone have contacts in German 300ZX forum as they would have probably sourced one by now if anyone would! Mark
  25. Do a search on here and Twinturbo.net, loads of discussion about it lately!
