  1. Is there a guide on how to remove and refit the cas on here.. I can't find anything?
  2. Many thanks for all your help Smithy.. Very much appreciated!! Will keep you posted with any progress.
  3. Oh, cool, not big money then.. Phew!! Does the cooling system have to be bled through, or drained to replace it, do you know?
  4. I did clean the connections up with contact cleaner on the CAS plug today, without success, but will inspect it further tomorrow, just incase. What sort of money is a temp sensor Brian?
  5. Thanks buddy, but it looks like I'm going to have to buy one.. Not sure of the prices though, so may be wise to trial fit one first.. Will keep it in mind buddy, thankyou!!
  6. ;) You and Smithy were both right.. CAS, and temp sensor  Where is Smithy ?? What a great club!!!
  7. Looks like it's CAS, and temp sensor then Smithy, so probably won't need the S2 PTU ?
  8. Ah.. That's how you read it is it.. I was assuming that was 11 & 13. Many thanks buddy!! Oh.. I didn't know you had got shot of your zed actually mate :( It looks like I'm going to be needing the CAS buddy looking at the error codes.. Fitting it is another matter :( I take it yours is suitable for a 1990 UK TT manual mate? I reakon that's what my problem was last time.. Also looks like I need a new temp sensor :( Probably been running in safety boost aswell without knowing it :headvswal
  9. Thanks very much mate.. That would be the ECU I borrowed last time, would it  :)
  10. Right.. Please bear with me Smithy, this is the first time I have done this lol The red light does.. One long One short One long 3 short
  11. Thanks Steve.. Appreciated!! See how it develops mate.
  12. Thanks Athene.. See how we get on.. Appreciated!!
  13. Just removed the ECU mate.. Just reading the link you put up.
  14. Thanks Brian, I don't have a laptop unfortunately.. Appreciate the offer though mate
  15. Don't know anyone round here with a conzult :( Well, Rodders, but he doesn't get on here now, I don't think :(
  16. Thanks guy's!!.. That would be very good of you Smithy, and of course I would return it the same day mate. Just checked the wiring on the fuel pump.. I've got power at the plug, but still can't hear the pump doing anything, but still not sure it would if it were already up to pressure ?? Might be wrong about that.. It's very strange how it decided to die during a boost.. The BOV was mid blow @approx 6K revs when it died.
  17. Just tried my spare PTU, but not that. I can't hear my fuel pump at all mate, regardless of how many times I turn it over. My boot is cleared out from the last time, when I checked all the fuel pump wiring, so can get to it, if needs be.
  18. Just refitting the small temp sensor connector.. It broke off, so put a new connector on it.. Really cleaned all the connections both ends on both plugs, but still nothing. I currently have an S1 PTU, and have a spare from the last non start problem.. I will try the other PTU & check for fuel pump noise, but if the fuel system is pressurised, it won't make any noise will it?.. Although it certainly stopped like it was fuel starvation. Thanks for your time Smithy
  19. Just removed the fuel pump fuse, and turned over several times.. Not a hint of starting :( and no petrol smell at all.. I remeber last time it wouldn't start the plugs were bone dry. I cleaned the two temp sensor connectors with contact cleaner, even though most of it went in my eyes :wack: ..Still nothing :(
  20. The only 'was it you' I'll be getting is.. Was that you trying in vein to get your zed started.. lol I wish I hadn't bothered testing the MAF now :wack:
  21. Will try this also.. Thanks mate
  22. The aux fan does not come on with the yellow temp sensor disconnected.
  23. I had a non start problem a month or so back, and it just resolved itself.. Strangely, it happens when the car has been sat out in the pouring rain for a week, without being started.. But it's strange how it started first time today, ran perfectly on tickover, and light revs, then boosted it, and it died.
