I saw that when you first posted it, very nice indeed. Thing is, I recon the money is in the seats. I need a seat to try out on but I can't imagine getting one cheap. I'd love to do this for a living. If anyone in my area wanted it doing I'd like to. I got all my leather for £40 but it was scraps. I don't know what it would be normally. Anyway, it lookslike I'm gonna be getting some practice on the Z round the corner. If anyone fancies it give me a shout, but at the minute I'm not doing seats, but I might have to get doing. If anyone has a seat taking up garage space let me know. Meanwhile I'll look into the leather situation. Tell you what, it certainly makes you like your car more.(I know it sounds like a plug) but that twead.......:D

Sorry I'm late lads, had a bit of pc trouble on & off for a while & I completely missed this thread. Firstly, thanks Stu for putting the pics on, then thanks to everyone else for the nice comments.:) 300z, I got the grey leather cheap off this guy me dad knows, it was all off cuts, just about enough. As for helping anyone, I live near Preston so your all a bit far away but I might be able to offer advice if anyone fancies a go & you'd be surprised how easy it is. And I'm probably old enough to be yours. Only joking Happyflyer, I'm 37 with 4 years ncb & AON charged me 585 fully comp with wife as well, & thou a year. Quite happy with that. Aon recon they don't believe in quoting you extra for Jap spec cars. Also, after the quote they'd given me for a standard quote, the car I bought had a performance exhaust & they said they wern't bothered about miner mod & charged me the same.

Every day at work people ask me " hows the z running?", everybody loves it. I thought I was bad for talking about it. When I'm starting it at night peoplestop when they're about to get in their car to hear it start up, then smile. Couldn't imagine life without.:D

I did the pcv's Pete, the passenger side is quite easyonce the battery is out of the way but the driver's side got me well worked up. Couldn't get the new one started on the threads for about forty minutes solid. Almost went for Andy Duff about 8 times but it went in the end. Patience is your most important tool on this job.

Could have been hazy light conditions caused by the LED wiper jets(more than likely);) creating the illusion.

The guy I got mine off used unleaded but I use optimax to be safe. No noticable difference in power that I'm aware of. It seems to varie from Z to Z. How d'you spell varie?:confused:

Cheers b19rks, sounds like you could be right there 'cause my fog(which has been put in the back lights) doesn't work.

There's a strange loud clicking sound like a snapping plastic sound (that's best I can describe it) coming from either the air con control panel or behind the centre console (not sure).It's quite loud. It does about 5 clicks in about 2 seconds usually, sometimes 4. It did it once or twice when I first got it but today it was doing it near enough all the time, sometimes stopping for a while to lul me into thinking it had gone, only to return & see how mad it could get me. The only thing I can think of that might bear any conection to it is that my stereo has started cutting out recently but I think it's just a lose connection. The stereo didn't used to do this last time I heard the clicks. Also, last time there were only 1 or 2 clicks a time & it didn't last long. :confused: :confused: :confused: Found them fillters Mr Duff, after much coughing. :D

I'll check the performance room out Andy & then I'll nip to the chemist & see if they've anything for our bad coughs we seem to have developed.;)

I had a Powerflow on my 200 & it was guarenteed as long as I owned the car. By the way it was an excellent systemwith a Tiger back box, I think it was model ssvv60, it had 4" tail pipe. might consider them for my own if ever needed. Picture in A1 motor stores catalogue.

Homebrew, I've got 25 litres of 5/30 but noone seems to be really sure. I've read some stuff about it and I'm still not sure. According to one source it's for colder countries like Sweden but nobody will say "don't use it".

Advice or ideas please. I've got an induction kit that used to be available from the Z centre involving 2 cone filters. Luke doesn't do them anymore so I need 2x70mm cones to replace them with but as there's no point in 2 anyway it seems like a waste of money. I wondered if anyone has moddified one. If I cut the pipe before it forks it doesn't leave much room for the length of a filter. Ideas welcome. I don't want to buy a whole induction kit.:confused:

Mine hits a good 7hg, aren't they meant to be 9psi standard? As far as I know it's had the exhaust & induction kit & that's all, does this sound right?:confused:

Where's this place in Bolton & what's it called? I'll take mine there, it's only 10 mile or so for me.:)

What about Shell 5/30? Willl the 30 make it rattle a bit?
