  1. Have you got his number mate?
  2. Can't remember, never sure what it should be on for the best.
  3. Anyone any idea why my air con clicks at me occasionally? 3 clicks I think. It did it one damp morning when it was shut off making me think it was a warning saying switch me on in case your windows mist up & we all die, but it did it today whilst on & it was sunny:confused:
  4. And me Andy, I'm totally with Jock. People like me wouldn't be able to own a Z if it wasn't for this site so could I become a member too, you can have some dosh whenever you need it. Cheers Roy.:)
  5. I was reading the post recently about tinting the back lights & was impressed with yours, & as I'm sorting the back spoiler shortly I was gonna ask him how much to do 'em while we're at it. Any way, was wondering what ratio of clear lac to black paint he used, & owt else that might be important for that matter, don't want a nice spoiler & sh@t lights. :D
  6. Just had a look at it. Does the whole end panel just pull off? that's what it looks like in the manual.
  7. That sounds more like . I don't really want the whole car in bits, I'm trying to do a bit at a time. Cheers smw1:) Any other advice for the task is welcome.
  8. I've done the bit under the steering column & the glove box, how do I remove that little bit at the side of the glove box without breaking something? I know it's probably glaringly obvious, apart from to me that is, Cheers anyone.
  9. Can't help you out 'cause I've not got to that bit yet but I agree about the tweed. I'm 37 & I'm too young to be into tweed. Can't be hard to remove, Have you not had a look in the online manual?
  10. smw1, can we have a pic with the wheel on & a bit more of the car?
  11. John Dixon, one of the hoses is a different diameter each end & they're that cheap you might as well get them from Courtesy.
  12. Fat Tony; Get 2x pcv valves and the hose which attaches to each one. the hoses are different. I'm sure someone could put you a link on to the Courtesy Nissan page where I ordered them from. I think all together it's cost about 60 odd quid. Niceness222; one of mine was stuck shut so it wasn't releasing crank pressure so my rear crank seal was leaking, just nipped & had a look, it's still leaking but hardly at all. My car feels quicker at low revs now, quite noticably. There could be loads of Zs out there not running quite as nice as they should but the owners don't know because the cars mega powerful anyway. Mine feels great now.:D :D :D
  13. Well, and yesterday. Did passenger side yesterday & it was easy enough but today it was the driver's side... Very hard work indeed. The hardest bit was getting the new valve started on the threads. One bit of advice is chuck the small rear hose clip with a jubillee clip 'cause it's just too hard a job getting the original back in position. Another bit of advice is get em done 'cause the car feels more responsive & I mean quite a bit, I was really surprised. Goo on lads give the Zs a treat.
  14. It's something people like me need desparately so I don't have to pester Andy so much. By the way my PCV valves are here tomorrow so shut your curtains Andy & don't answer the door.
  15. What paint was used exactly, was it that Folio tec stuff or what. Certainly looks quite excellent.

My juddering is very minimal now & could be related to wheel balancing & having different makes of tyres. I recon it might clear up when I change front tyres, one has loads of tread, the other is quite low.
  17. I suppose it might depend on the condition it's in. My mate said it will improve the more you do it. I hope so 'cause it is a bit rock hardish.
  18. It's meant to soften it more every time you use it. Made mine alot better after first do, have to see how it goes after a few goes. I think it was a fiver or four quid odd. Defo given it a bit of life now. Will boot polish not come off on you? I'll try it myself if not. Someone is ment to be getting back to me about some stuff to make the cracks black, meant to be s@it hot stuff. I'll let you know.
  19. Here's where I risk imbecile status, but I'm new to the Z & don't know where everything is or isn't for the purpose of checking everything's topped up etc... does the cooling system not have an expansion chamber like the 200 where you check the water level? Ive sussed the air con out I think but this Clifford alarm is a bit of a pain. Where's the washer bottle? Before you rip into me, in my defence I only got the car Monday & I work 6 till 6 so I've not had much chance to get aquainted yet. Cheers lads. Oh by the way, that new Williams F1 leather cleaner & conditioner seems to have done a nice job.

Grandadg90, I picked up my new Z on Monday with your tyre sizes & it juddered like f@@k with 32 ish in them but seems ok at 31. Still a midges of judder so gonna try 30.
  21. Thanks for the welcome guys, Good advice to take it easy, deffo will do. Nick, we'll have to get together soon. Took my cousine for a spin last night & he used the word amazing five times in about a minute. A mate who has a 20 valve fiat coupe came in to work this morning & said he's gonna get one when his claim comes through. About this grinning that keeps getting mentioned, how do I stop it?
  22. Cheers Cos, I'm definately one of them but one mustn't be put off. Like you say I'll be taking it easy till the few bits have been sorted. A Z is for life not just for Christmas. It's wierd, when you own a Z you feel like your part of something a bit special & even though everyone that sees it pays it compliments you can't help thinking to yourself...If only he really knew how good this car is...
  23. Finally got one. It's grey Jap one with Nice alloys Z centre exhaust & induction kit. 1 or 2 bits to be sorted out but generally reet good condition. Andy Duff checked it over tonight & recons it's a good un, apart from the bits he pointed out. I must admit I wondered if I'd made a mistake for the first half hour but after bringing it all the way from Slough to Preston I realise that I can never be parted now & am in no doubt that I own the greatest car the world. Big thanks to Andy for making the problems with it seem minor. I'll tell you it feels good to live round the corner from this man. I do like to do a long drawn out post from time to time but tonite I feel a bit stuck for words. I think most of you know what I mean. I set off from Spar tonite, went about 20 yards then booted it & it got snaking about. Not bad for an auto in the dry with 255 tyres on the rear. Ye haw. That should do it.
  24. Please ignore post above. Can't explain, must be them cataracts.
