  2. Hi All.. Ok want to (need to!) change the speedo on my Zed as its still in Km's. Anyone kmow how hard it is to do? Think i'll get the chrome type surrounds while ive got them out too!..so to speak.!! :bow:

Ive broke the bracket that holds the CD player and and little storage sleeve thing in the centre console when i was trying to remove the original Tape player from it - anyone know where i can get one or if there is a alternative i could buy of the shelf - so to speak...   4. Hi, Anyone know where i can get some Chrome kick plates? same as the original plastic ones same position for screws etc, but in Chrome? or something like it?   5. cheers everyone! got it working , it was indeed the earth - just connected the old one to the metal case of the new one and it works! which in great, no i have to get new speakers as there pretty aweful! so now.. 1. i need a new bracket to hold the stereo in the centre conslole as i broke the other one trying to detach it from the old stereo (it was welded on and ive threaded the screws and not totally bent the entire thing try to get it off!) 2. Speakers - back ones look pretty easy (will any speakers do or do you need amps as ive read that the original have amps in them?) and the door speakers - do the whole door card need to come out?) thanks again. Ed
  6. when yo say you had to cut the earth on the iso block and earh it directly what do you mean? sorry - this is my first time...so to speak !
  7. good point - there was an earth on the old one - which obviously i took off and ddnt re-connect but surely that wouldnt affect it working..would it??
  8. speedy replies! cheers.. In-line fuse? not sure what that is but it has a fuse to the side of the connectors on the back of it, 10A i think it is, yep tried it with ignition off-on, engine on and nothing.
  9. HI All, Ok took my original Tape player out today - already bought my cd player, so got the iso connector adapters and the arial - 2prongs into 1 thingy and great - all connecting fine.. Go to turn on the CD player aaaaannnddd.........nothing. :rolleyes: hmmm so i refer to the ..da.da da daaaaaa, manual (!) and it says to disconnect the battery - whoops didnt do that, so i disconnect the battery first and try again and still nothing, i didnt think it would make any difference tbh, no im thinking maybe ive blown the internals of the Cd player by not disconnecting the battery first? anyone had this before?   11. Hello Again!!! Good Friday all!!! Ok - do i buy a new panel air filter or induction kit for my TT? Which is better? Will i lose any low down torque with an induciton kit? Also those Rubber pipes and the front of the engine 4 pipes? I see a lot of peeps have replaced these with S/S pipes - (or chrome??) Can anyone tell me what are? do they serve any purpose rather than looking better? Thanks Ed
  12. Me again! Ive been posting 2-3 times a day this week! I did only get my car on Saturday!! Anyway - i have the original tape in my Jap TT 2+2 at the mo, ive bought a new cd player and i want to change it but im presuming i need an adaptor for the Jap connector..anyone know what its called/number of connector and if halfrauds sell them?   15. Hi all. Ok , the silver finish on my winderscreen wipers (the actual metal arm) are all fading quite a bit - not rusting just faded, does anyone know or has anyone already attepmted at spraying them - silver? If so what kind of spray etc? Thanks Ed
  16. same here - although i was going to ask how the heating system works, its great etc, just doesnt seem to come out of any of the door or dash vents, only the windscreen and footwells...

  23. Yeah that sounds good mate, just moved to great barr from four oaks actually! So Zedworlds not far either! Thats good news! It was raining yesterday and i felt it wobble a bit - wasnt even accelarating hard either! Im defo gonna take it easy in the wet!
