Yes guys I sincerely do appreciate all your concerns and points all of you have raised and taking them into account and will do what's best and safe for me. Big thanks to all your input. I got the car back last night at 1am and saw the damage properly today in daylight. Needed to see the car and hear what had happened face to face which I have been told so can only go forward from here. He was trying to get quotes on getting it fixed but didn't get a booking. Well so he says anyway. It was rammed into a fence or something of that sort. There is no colour of another car anywhere on the body and all 4 wheels are chipped and light damaged that kinda indicates stones or something hitting them while it had lost traction. Otherwise there is no reason for the wheels on the other side to have that damage if it was just the one side that has taken the hit. For now, payment for the damage and whole car respray has been agreed. So need to get it to a bodyshop asap and get this going. Will see what happens then when I get quotes and take it from there.

Stupid me I know. But it is my reality. Can't change the past, gotta decide where to go with this. Go big or call it quits and I'm more on the sides of going big. By that I do mean a full makeover but gotta be sensible.

No guys nothing like all that. I don't know where you guys have taken this as this wasn't an oh what should I do thread. It was just for pointers incase someone saw it somewhere or if it was being broken somewhere whatever. It was just for extra eyes incase someone came across anything. You can know people but never know what they like behind doors. I'm not going to broadcast my life on a forum the ins and outs of this story and all. I've been a subbed member for years. So was making some use of it that's all. Anyway, mate took the car, lost it and trashed the passenger side from front wing to rear quarter panel.

Well, the car finally returned. In a very bad state. Serious thinking to be done and major decision to be made as it's been 11 years of Z ownership.

Yes I have got a deadline in mind of if i don't hear anything I'll go to the police. For now on the forum, I thought I'll put the word out as the car or parts like that would be spotted right away as they are not common and we do give eBay or gumtree a look now and then to see what's there for the ZX

As silly as that sounds, that is correct. Just didn't feel the need to as I've grown up knowing him over 10 years now so waited on it but with all this wait, suspecting something silly is going on.

Someone real close (well I thought he was) took it and now has completely disappeared on me. So not sure what to class it as yet but its been 3 weeks. So leaving some detail here with my other progresses..

Hi guys, Not looking to give out exact details just yet but due to strange circumstances, my Z has gone missing. I am off course in the process of hunting down the people involved. But putting it up here too hoping I get some luck with it being spotted somewhere. It should be somewhere in the London area. More precisely, HOUNSLOW, SOUTHALL, EALING, UXBRIDGE and ACTON. Pics are attached and it is now a manual. (pics show auto) Incase someone comes across some aftermarket parts, the items should be as follows: - WINGS WEST style front bumper but not fibre glass, ORIGINAL VIPER STYLE CARBON FIBRE BONNET with side pins. It's been painted in the past at some point but the paintwork now is it in real bad state with lacquer peeling alot. Can't remember the name of the side skirts but definitely different than the normal. REAR ARCH EXTENSIONS not carbon fibre wrapped. MID LEVEL REAR SPOILER VEILSIDE REAR BUMPER 19 INCH CRUIZE 135s (I believe they are called) ALLOYS LIGHT GREY/BLACK COMPLETE LEATHER INTERIOR HKS FRONT MOUNT INTERCOOLER HARD INTERCOOLER PIPES UNDERBONNET WITH BRAIDED BALANCE HOSE IN THE 2 MIDDLE ONES. REAR QUARTER GLASS KIT WHICH LIGHTS UP 300ZX IN GREEN. ILLUMINATED DOOR SILLS THAT LIGHT UP GREEN. These are the upgrades seen at first instant. Need all the help I can get. Zaheer

Hope you have that paintcode mate. My last Z was that exact colour. Still have the rear bumper off it and put a veilside extension and put on current one. So when the sun hits it, the top bumper section shows the flakes. Anyhow, it was a right pain having that colour as i didn't have the code so couldn't change bodywork to my liking. So it meant having the whole car sprayed. Just giving the heads up as it is a restricted matter. Great looking Z though. I'm sure we saw each other a week or so ago :)

Yes I did get his advice which too was to take belts off to see which one will be the culprit. I did suspect the aircon at the 1st place as the noise was from that area. But recently turned into a metal screech which made me think that's something spinning and touching. Found the idler pulley wobbling. Read some threads here too about a screeching and burning rubber smell which pointed to the pulley too and this I did get occasionally too.

Well a couple of days ago the noise in the video above turned into a really loud metallic screech.. Turns out it is my air con idler pulley.. It was clearly wobbly when rotating now.. Got a knife through and cut the belt and everything is nice and quiet now.. Still yet to feel air con and idler pulleys by hand but I'm certain it's the idler.. Now I know that my air con compressor did go pop too in its past as when turned on there's a whire/rattle sound from it.. So the fuse has been out for it.. Gotta decide if I need air con or get into weight saving.

Lol kinda knew that already that that was going to be the outcome.. It's always the expensive ones.

Hey guys, I'm looking into upgrading my Z drive pulleys. Just need pointers on which ones to be considering. Mine are standards off course. I've read good things about the AMS and Unorthodox ones. Seems like they can only be got from the US?? Seen some pulley kits on ebay but no reviews on them on here to consider them. And I'd rather spend me money on ones with a good reputation. Any info much appreciated guys :thumbup::thumbup: Kind regards, Zee.
