Standard Turbo Hard Pipes
slide them all the way to the front of the car. You could slide them back and forth working some oil underneath to loosen them if you need to, but they are very easy when warm.

BOV Hard Pipes
ok thats good as i now have some fitted to the outer pipes, was doing some research and came across the statement which i quoted in the first post. This quote alarmed me and i wanted to check to make sure they dont cause any long term damage by being on the outer pipes. Fitting them in any location is not a problem for me, i prefer the engine bay for show reasons, just wanted opinions. Seems that many respectible tuning companies fit them to the outer pipes no problems, and even have some problems with them on the upper pipes as smithy said. "...bottom 2 hoses is crap because when your throttle bodies close all that air then get's forced back through the intercoolers into the outlet pipe from the turbo before it's dumped..." "...but you may as well not have dump valves for all the good it does..." "...When your back on the throttle all that air has to then be re-accelerated again causing Major Lag!..." This is what led me to ask you all, and to sum up, many people have found this NOT to be a problem, including large tuning companies. So these statements dont hold water, and this is not a problem location.

air filter
Rather than spending £15 each on the two filters every time you service why not spend a one time £70-£80 and fit an A'Pexi cone filter, not only does it free up power, improves sound, it also saves you money in the long run.

BOV Hard Pipes
Is there truth in what the man speaks? EVERY zed i have seen has them on the bottom hoses.

Bentley-Harris ConvoShield
how much did you use in total? its one of those things that you never really know till you start the job.

Bentley-Harris ConvoShield
Been looking at Bentley-Harris ConvoShield for a bit of enhancement. http://cableorganizer.com/convoshield/ seem to be the only stockist. And that is a picture of Bee Gee Vinz's engine bay on their site, did you get a prototype discount?!?? Are there any uk stockists and what did you think of the finished product, tacky or not? http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/vbgarage.php?do=getimage&id=254 http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=538912 is another example.

Electrics
you will need one resistor on the red wire. >> Supply is 12v >> if the blue LED drops 3.6v you need a resistor to drop the other 8.4v >> LED's require a current of about 0.02A >> a 0.02A (20mA) current in the LED will be the same current in the resistor >> Voltage = Current x Resistance >> Resistance = Voltage / Current >> Resistance of resistor needed = 8.4/0.02 = 420 ohms >> Go for a little higher and make your LED last longer >> SO : about 450 ohms. >> if needed: Power = Current x Voltage >> Wattage of resistor needed = 0.168 watts ........ However im gonna stop there cos the red led wouldn't be there without a resistor already so im 99% sure you can just swap them over, just put it in the right way round, the legs on the LED should be a different length indicating +'ve and -'ve.

cross threaded wheel nut!!!
When i bought the car it had only 3/5 on the OSF and 4/5 on the NSR. Its ok to drive but i wouldnt advise long journeys or hard driving. New studs are pretty easy to do on your drive if you HAVE cacked the thread, i'm doing the 3 tomorrow. Remove the wheel, caliper and disc and gently knock the bolt out of the hub making sure to align the indent in the hub casing with the bolt. When replacing remember to align the splines before knocking it in. Front and rear bolts are different so make sure you get the right ones. My two front were easy to get, but the rear had to come from Japan :(
