Any thoughts on this, Yorkshire guys maybe ?
Does look nice but they dont mention a 60k service so that would need doing.

ooops...snapped zed key
Which wouldn't be so bad if it weren't my only one.  Yes, it is only my fault but I only got the car a few weeks ago and I just ordered a 300zx key which I was gonna use as the main and relegate the crappy one I have now to the spare. It seems a clean break so I should be able to get one cut from it....I hope, otherwise its gonna be an issue! So irritated as I wanted to remove the rubbish stereos tonight, see what connectors I needed, buy them tomorrow morning and then fit the new stereo. Now gonna have to waste time getting a key cut...or 10! Lesson learnt :headvswal

Alarm advice please...
I've had a Toad Ai606. Great alarm and never had a problem with it. I just wanted remote start so I swapped to clifford and to be honest I've had zero probs with them either....ive had them on 2 different cars, one being my last zed. Always used the same bloke so maybe clifford suffers due to the fitting errors? As spongey asked, are there any other options for a thatcham cat 1 with remote start and window closure? Not that I have been scared off clifford, just like to explore other options.

I would like it more if it was just the one colour. Or red just with a black bonnet. But I prefer low key to be fair.

Fecking insurance con artists
Are they your present company? Ask to speak to an underwiter. The call centre operator prob just got confused and labeled it as claim outstanding.

insurance
I paid about 900 TPFT for an import TT. I was 26 with 3 years no claims and 6 points ( ) That was with bell insurance. Yours would obviously be much less than that as you are older, have less points and more no claims.

early xmas present
Hmmm, it only came to the UK in 2003 so you prob have something there.

early xmas present
Wonder if anything else will turn up when I get a thorough check over from a specialist...? My car damnit, I mean my car. (must pre-check posts before submitting)

early xmas present
Whilst investigating the lack of engine undertray, I noticed my car has a K&N induction kit fitted. Spoke to my mate who checked the car out with me when I bought it and he had assumed I knew so didn't bother mentioning it. Saves me £100 or so when I start the mods. Wonder if anything else will turn up when I get a thorough check over from a specialist...?

Thank feck for that!!
I did all mine from the comfort of my warm home, but no internet purchases. One highly organised younger sister and one balance transfer later, job done.

National news??? Yeah right!!!
I live just down the road from our fair capital and avoid it like the plague. Makes me feel dirty just entering the place (oo-er) Nowt masively against it, just so over hyped and the majority of it is a shit hole (sorry to steal your phrase andy but its so apt)

Today, I have had 2 (almost) heart attacks
lol, If I knew half as much as you do about zeds then I would do just that!! If you had my mechanical skills and had checked over a zed yourself armed only with the buyers guide, then you'd be nervous for a week or so too!
-
Today, I have had 2 (almost) heart attacks
Yeah i am, even in the crappy weather. I'm always nervous with new cars. Mainly cos I'm not exactly mechanically minded so every new purchase is a slight risk, but a worthy one.

Today, I have had 2 (almost) heart attacks
As I say, my previous zed was pretty much painless, but I never got to grips with the auto box. My new manual zed is awesome....so much happier. It seems solid, couple of minor things to sort, but I knew about them before buying so very happy. Maybe we should have a "I drove my car all day today with no probs" section on the forum!! Reading the technical advice section can be pretty scary!

Today, I have had 2 (almost) heart attacks
Yeah, exactly!! You guys have turned me into a nervous wreck! I had a zed earlier this year and to be fair, I had no serious probs with it, but I always get a little frantic when I buy a new car. I'll be calmer in a coupe of days...or a week...maybe a month....
-
Today, I have had 2 (almost) heart attacks
I'm usually a highly stable, competent individual! But seriously, how many times have you seen a thread along the lines of "Just picked up my new zed and it broke down on the way home" I may just stop coming on here for a few weeks

Today, I have had 2 (almost) heart attacks
....thanks to my new zed. Only had it since monday and driving it as much as poss to see if it develops any strange sounds/ problems I didn't pick up on the test drive. A plane above me when I turned the engine off gave me a flutter and then when I pulled to a stop at a junction, the air brakes from a lorry scared the crap out of me. :xxx: Being too delicate and paranoid but hey, all good so far though.
