Hi folks, was wondering where the idle control valve is on the zeds? Have a twin turbo 1993 model. Think this may be my problem with it cutting out so just wanted to check it out.

Cheers

The Idle Control Valve is located on the passenger side of the engine bay and is bolted to the back of the plenum next to the battery. It has a yellow connector on top.

Hi fellas, went out and had a look around the battery, cant seem to find any yellow connector top or that. Not to sure exactly what i am looking for, there is a black cap infront of the battery which when opened looks like a little pilot valve and following the line just fractionaly up is a sight glass? What is that?

Anyways i have a jap 300zzx twin turbo and was just wondering is it the same layout as uk as in i should be able to find the idle control valve where u guys said.

Anyone got a picture of its location? And how much adjustment may be needed?

a couple of pictures of the valve in question, that should be the last thing to adjust after you have checked every thing else i,e... TPS, timing and once the TB's have been cleaned and sync'd. the valve screw is a pain to get to as the battery is in the way. use a long thin screw driver to adjust it and make sure the top yellow connecter is disconnected.

ive circled the valve in red for ya;)

hi lads, do you screw the idle control valve clockwise for more fuel to make it idle faster or anti clockwise, i imagine anti clock wise but just wani check?

counterclockwise to increase idle, clockwise to reduce idle. Cheers:D!
