My front number plate has had it, when i buy a new one, do i have to drill the holes in??? and where can i get hold of the white plastic screw that hold it, mine both snapped

Featured Replies

It probably wont have holes in it when ya buy it, I'd buy some sticky pads and do it that way mate, much easier, looks better, and wont fall off if ya put a good few on (they stick like sh*t to a blanket :-) If not, you'll have to drill ya holes, and you'll get some of the white caps from any car shop.... HTH.

ahhh, you sure it will stay on at 100 mph ???? if so where do i get them..... halfrauds ???

Tut tut tut, the speed limit is 70 ya know, haha, balls to that :-) I think it will mate, but if in doubt, screw it on, not a big job. I refuse to by anything from Halfrauds mate :-) Erm, I get them from a electronics parts place, maybe try maplins or something? They are about 2-3 mm thick foam in the middle, and come in strips usually, but like I said, if in doubt screw it on, if you REALLY have to, you'll get ya white caps from, urgh, Halfrauds :-O

Have fun matey....

yep again used sticky pads before with know probs and yeah black white and yellow caps can be sourced from most auto factors

(prob so much for a pack of so many though lol)

Standard double sided sticky pads from Halfords will do the job. Just make sure both surfaces are squeeky clean and free from grease. Also, make sure you line it up correctly as they won't come off!

I've removed every single set of plates from all of my cars, fitted new plain borderless ones and stuck them on. Much cleaner and more slick looking.

I've lost count of the amounts of tidy looking cars with absolutely hanging number plates, either filled up with dirt between the skins or have those tacky hollograms/slogans.

Slogans like "My Tyres are knackered, and my Knackers are tired" you mean?!!

the tape it is then, if it flies of though, you lot owe me a new number plate !!!

waits for post>>>> "missing number plate" dont use them sticky buds if you want to hang on to the plate and if you decide to drill then put a piece of wood under it to stop the drill bit bursting out the other side and giving you nice little fracture cracks like a cats arse:rolleyes:

No, like 'Get it, sit down, shut up hang on', 'lower than your grans nipples!!', Scooby Slayer or 'Nissan 300zx Twin Turbo 24valve Quad cam V6', ie the car's full specification lol, etc etc.

I saw one recently which said 'if it has t1ts or wheels, it usually means trouble'. It did make me smile.
