This morning my when i woke up my girlfriend told me my lights were on on my 300zx, i knew i turned them off last night but i went to check, when i got outside my lights werent on!! the light switch was in the off position, however my battery was flat, i decided to jump it off our other car, as soon as i connected the jump leads, my lights came on even though the light switch was in the off position! i turned the switch to 'on' then 'off' again and the lights went out! started the car and left it to tick over for 10 mins, however when i got home from work and tried to start the car again it was flat ( which i half expected anyway ) so now ive put the battery on charge over night, however the whole light thing is a bit weird! any ideas guys?:headvswal

yep..get a priest involved:rofl:

is it left out side? has there been heavy rain over your way? i would check the fuse box (drivers foot well) for any moisture. good luck buddy, and welcome to the world of unexplainable called Zed;)

running the car will not charge the battery.the alternator will only put back what the car is using.;)

FYI. For a 5 second start, 15 - 20 minutes driving is required to get the battery back to where it was before start. Mine is flat and no matter how long I leave my charger on it's always flat the day or 2nd day after. After a good drive however (1hr plus) it's fine after that.

youve not accidentally hit the front fog light switch have you? I nudged mine accidentally when i was re wiring my gauges, and the warning chime was going off and it looked like the side lights were on, but the knob was on the off position. Took me ages to notice the little LED on the switch.
