Does anyone know the maximum boost pressure that a standard zed can take safely? Im asking because im going to fit boost controllers. Assuming these are easy to fit?

1 bar or 15 psi with a chip and healthy internals

ps...controllers or controller????

Controllers..... ps would raising the pressure have any effect on the auto box ( with it revving up faster) ?

why would you have more than one??

Twin manual boost controllers, one for each actuator pipe.

I personally wouldn't bother with manual controllers, but even so you'd be better teeing into one - keep the pressure equal and no chance of knocking one etc etc...

if it's j spec iv'e heard the oil coolers aren't to gr8 at constant higher revs this dosent matter as standard due to the 110 restriction

but allot of people have upgraded the cooler when doing mods

if youre not budgeting for an electronic controller mate then go for boost jets - 1.2mm are the safest bet, 1.0mm will give you about 15psi which is kind of on the line for a stock Z. ck300z is right, stock JDM oil coolers will let you down as you start to up the power so replace with a UK spec

Will have to think about oil coolers as mines not got the restriction.

First things first get an aftermarket boost guage, the stock ones not accurate then stick to boost jets mate (welding tips in the boost hose to the solenoid) they are used alot and well tested, just get a chip for your ECU that matches your set up. Theres a chipped ECU in the for sale saction i think

Obviously more boost is more pressure/strain on everything !

But to stay within a general safety margin is is 1 bar or 14.5 psi, which as said are the 1mm tips.
