1979 mk2 ford capri 1.6 gl red with black vinyl roof was the first car I ever bought cost me £2000 nearly 30 years ago (god were do the years go) I loved that car sold it to get married big mistake. If I was to buy another one it would cost more than I paid the first time.

1987 Vauxhall Nova 1.0L Polar White, wasn't mine it was my girlfriends (now wife) bought a GTE bodykit for it. Later found out the guy who i bought the bodykit from was stealing cars, stripping them for parts then cutting them up and scrapping them. I was shitting myself as the bodykit was glacier or arctic white and you could spot a mile away it didn't belong to the car. My mate got ripped of for £200 a few years ago and it turned out to be the same guy. I guess prison hadn't taught him anything.

G reg volvo 480es .. made the mistake of letting a mate drive it .. a road sign and hedge later the car was no more!

Yep i pasted my test 2 years ago in october, im 20, my insurance is £1375 for 10 months on elephant

mine was a red j reg mk golf gti ...was awsome wish i still had it ..bt deside to go for a 2.9 vr6 engine swap out of the corrado thn ran out of money n time so sold it on ...i passed my test jst under 2 year ago aswell n my insurance is 1600 with swinton...not too bad considerin i was payin 2000 on my a3 1.8t last year.

MK2 Astra Belmont SRi. Had it 11 years ago and it was on an H-plate, so would have been about 7 years old I think. Was pristine on about 68k. Kept it for about 2 years. The guy I sold it to took it over 250,000 miles.

 

I always thought they were miles better than the Orion Injection Ghias. Faster, better looking, better equipped. It was all subjective though as everyone used to rave about the Onion. I never really saw the appeal in them.

 

 

I had a 1972 Mini superb handling, but not enough power to pull a lolly stick out of a donkeys arse.

ha now that is a good car, my second car was a hillman hunter 1725GT with a holbay engine wich I fitted, and lovely twin 40 webbers.

remember my uncle had a Hillman Imp once , went through 4 thermostats in 3 months and it was just 15 months old at the time:shock:
