Guys,

Just in the process of making the final choice on my new wheels.

Ive sorted the sizing on the front, but im struggling the figure out whats the most extreme offset i can go on the rear.

The problem with the type of wheel im going for i only have 2 options for the 10 inch wide rear wheel. They are:

+18

+38.

This is the look im after:

Now do i go for the +18 and run the risk that the offset is too aggressive, (or end up with an insanely stanced car) or do i play it safe and go for the +38 and just wack some spacers on to fill the gaps

Your suggestions please

with 10 inch rears, and an offset of 18, it will stick out like jordans love pillows :xxx:

Gor for the +38 mate, at least you can space them out if you feel like it, whereas going backwards is a hell of alot harder im afraid

Im pretty sure the rear in MclarenF1kids car in the pic above is a 10" wheel with +38.

so definatly the +38 . You wont need spacers for the rear.

Re-read. He is talking about having +18s at the front.

Nick, you'll need to have the arches rolled slightly if you go for a +18 on an 8.5" front.

+38 on a 10" wheel sounds about right. I run a +35 on a 9.5"

no, he's not si. He is asking about +18 or +38 for the rear. He's not asking about fronts.

Cheers guys, i remember there was a thread that Si put on about what offset MclarenF1kids car was running, which i couldnt find for love nor money.

The main reason i ask is that i have another photo of his car which shows he is running spacer (below)

The thing is i dont know if this is a front or rear wheel. If it was a rear with a +38 offset running a 20 mil spacer, then im guessing a +18 with no spacer would be safe...

And yes im running +18 on the fronts

Thats front spacer. He does'nt have spacer on the back. Has a +18 front offset and had to roll the arches to stop rubbing.

10" with +18 would be sticking right out of the arches, 10" with +38 is spot on.

Cheers dave, thats cleared that up.

Dont suppose you know what offset he's running on the front?

8.5" front , 10" rear +38 all around, but using a 20mm spacer to make the fronts a +18.
