picking up my zed in 6 days time, and im rather excited :D

Ive started planning out the mods alreadyand filtering cash back so after xmas i can buy a whack of stuff al at once !

I want these wheels http://www.ultralitewheels.com/hikari.htm

spoke to The Garage in motherwell, he has a FMIC kit in stock for 250 quid.

Know someone selling a pair of JIC coilovers, does anyone know much about these ?

The car has an exhaust, but tbh i would like an HKS one.

Also a set of black cobra misano seats, as the original front leathers are getting very worn and tatty looking

Now the only thing im unsure of is body styling :(

I cant seem to find any bodykits that i like, everything just looks like it doesnt belong :xxx:

I want something subtle, a pair of skirts similar to nismo skyline ones if possible, a small wing, nothing like a supermarket trolley :mac1:

and a front bumper.

Can i have sone suggestions please?

thanks :duffer:

hello buddy, welcome to the world of zeding!!!

firstly, has anyone had a look over the car that knows these zeds?

i would personally start by making sure EVERYTHING is running correctly from vac lines to hicas system. maybe hook up with someone in your area that already has one. the trouble with these cars is that they may run sweet but still need hoses/pipes renewing considering most are around 15 years old now. once all the running is sorted and you want do some mods, think about what you want out of the car as every mod tends to lead to another, from mild to extreme. maybe start with induction and exhaust. theres plenty of links on here to help guide you through the process.

good luck buddy

Mark

i have a virsile 2 bodykit but dont know how to post pics the kit looks the tits espeally with fmic of wich im still to get

does anyone have a comparison pic between the normal, and '99 spec bumpers ?

As for the car, im an engneer to trade, and have worked on a fair few car in my time, but anytihg out of my league and the car will go to a local tuner near me, who is the dogs danglies :hyper:

As said the car has an axhaust, and the intercooler kit comes with induction kits already, so they are sorted.

The ar is an auto for now, but when i come back form my holiday to egypt in april, im gonna book it in with SWZ to get a manual conversn done

IMO, leave the bodywork mostly unfettled and you'll retain the Zs good looks. There are a few add-ons that can beef it up a little.

89-98 Front bumper

attachment.php?attachmentid=44642&stc=1&d=1224951515 (hope Si does'nt mind me using is pic)

99-00 Front bumper

attachment.php?attachmentid=44639&stc=1&d=1224951001

and a side by side comparison of NA bumper and 99spec bumper :

attachment.php?attachmentid=44640&stc=1&d=1224951263

99spec on left , and pre99 in middle and on right

attachment.php?attachmentid=44643&stc=1&d=1224951879

and 3 99's in a row :

Benefit over aftermarket bumpers is that its polyurethane and perfect fit.

ive been looking at the kaminari spoilers, but can only find them for 450 dollars

damsn thats expensive fro a spoiler :(

Im not sure about the 99 spec front, i was looking for something just a little more widemouthed, to show off the fmic :x:

But i will be leaving it mostly unharmed, just subtle extensions to enhance its looks, not change them :)

I manufacture f/glass kits mate,I have one in the making now for a zed32,it has a wide mouth, but not too ott..Production moulds will be ready in about 5-6weeks so if ur still looking drop me a line...:D

Hope they look better than half the crap out there for the Z.

PS, 99 front ends look really good with an FMIC sat behind them. The best thing about these bumpers is, unlike almost all a/m fascias, they match the lines of the car.

I like the specc 99 with an FMIC behind it, i might just get one of those, does anyone no of any decent side skrts ?

Seen nismo type ones which looked ok, apart from the venting on the rear of them

My favourite are the Kaminari skirts.

I have Impul skirts (not fitted yet) which are pretty subtle too. No silly vents..etc

Kaminari skirts

(available from the U.S - http://www.300zx.com and http://www.powertrix.com (powertrix do replicas of the kaminari at lower price)

impul skirts (available from Japan parts importers or used) :

Door fillers make a big difference. Most skirts available in the Uk dont include them, and it makes a noticable difference in the overall look.

They are HKS Hi-power

The key to Steven's black one is A: stance and B:keeping things simplistic. It's what makes a good Z and he's pulled it off perfectly. He's actually fitting even wider wheels to it. Some old-skool Veilside wheels iirc.

yup thats the one

Absolutely lovely, i dont think i can afford the real volk wheels, but im pretty sure there are a company out there that make ones VERY similar,

so impul skirts,HKS hi power, kaminari spoiler, 99 spec front bumper, jic coilovers and some volk lookalikes :D

I reckon i could hae all that done in 6 months ;)

His wheels are Work not Volk. :)

is that not actually the same comapny, just different name ?

pretty sure it is :)
