would anyone on here swop their z for a r33 gtst? just wondering what people think it is white and i have been offered for a swap, anyone know much about them?what bhp etc?r they faster than a scooby?cheers

A gtst is not as fast as a z, the gt-r is around the same power as a z.

Saying that, a gtst is not a bad car by any means, about 250bhp iirc, a lot

easier to live with than a gt-r too. Whether it's a fast as a scooby... who knows... which scooby, theres about 10 different versions!

yeah thats true there are loads of scoobys! will the stock turbo be able to handle more power on a skyline? i know that i am probably asking on the wrong forum but hey ho they are both nissans thanks

Swap for a Z - Not in a million years personally. The only advantage I see is that they have more rear leg seat room. The rest of the interior is a dismall let down, the exterior is no better, certaintly not much of a looker and its only got a 2.5 single turbo.

There not an all together bad car in their own right, but not Z territory.

Depending on the year it might be worth more and easier to sell though....benefiting from its big Brothers (GTR) reputation to help with resale values.

I guess that If you were looking to sell the Z anyway, and after something more family orientated and its newer than the Z so worth more, then its a consideration.

If you are going to get a skyline only buy a gtr version R32/R33/R34 etc in the 400bhp mark or above.

the gts is not in the league of a z and it will be a step back

The only thing a scooby will out perform is a gts. A gtr it wont even get close to. The scooby will out perform a z in the corners but then you get to a straight road and by by mr scooby.

No. A less exclusive, less powerful and less attractive car? Can't really see a reason why I'd even consider it.

The skyline is a nice car to drive, plenty of poke, and can be made to look nice.

But agree, the GTS is not in the same league as a 300zx.

I should know, i had an R33 gts with nismo skrts, gtr rear spoiler and standard front.

It handled very well with strut braces fornt and rear, with nismo s tune shocks and springs.

But TBH its like comparing a bentley to a ferrari, they are different beast altogether

someone i know has a GTST with bpu's .. induction, free flowing exhaust and chip.. he says he got 276bhp on dyno.. but we had a play a while back and he could only just keep up .. my car was standard then .. and safety boost. ;)

caribzx toyd with that idea of a gtst so he borrowed it for the afternoon and we went out to test it no where near his zed for poke but nice for the family!:nono:

Is that the grey one in the Pics I saw Dan ? If so thats a R34 GTT, which is more powerfull than the R33 GTST, but still not in zed territory.

all depends on the spec of the GTS.

the RB25 engine is quite good, has a lot of tuning potential.

agree if i was going to have a skyline id prefer the GTR,

but there are some well spect GTS out there.

got any pics/specs for us?
