and it aint the uk weather, my rear sill rotted and i replaced them all, they rotted cause of the rubber targa drain pipes rotted and was leaked inside the sills hence the rust

my rear footwell needed a patch putting on, this was due to the rubber targa seal leaking water into the cockpit and it corroded from inside (all repaired)

im n the process of replacing my front crossmember, this is cause nissan decided to put a pipe that runs from some type of water bottle inside the crossmember and its open ended and it just leaks the water into the crossmember

so its nissans rubber hoses that cause the rot, not the fookin weather:headvswal

just had my drivers sill done, wasn`t the pipes, they`re still fine, was caused by some seam sealant missing just under the door where the sills join, just happens to have a door drain right above,so over the years been seeping in & sitting

Most rot seems to happen round the rear arches. That's the British weather! Infact, all the rest of is caused by the climate as an end cause.

One reason is people only wash the outside and forget about dirt build up in arches hanging damp all the time.

There is that yes. Also, condensation builds up between inner and outter skin, which, is actually inside the car. This splits the spot welds and that's the point where the arch will turn into a digestive biscuit within a short period of time.
