bummer paul :(....so do you want a nice n/a auto for £1,000 ? :D

Paul,

That's a real shame. But the sills aren't that expensive you know ....

I am so happy my Z has absolutely no rust on it what so ever. Think I'd be beside myself if it did start to scab. But I think there's almost no chance of that.

I'd look at saving it though if it's just the sills and then get the thing waxoiled pronto!

Is there still companys that still use waxoil used to be very popular can you still get the big drums and spray kits

Just think of all the money you have saved on insurance having a UK Zed and that should cheer you up.

I dont have any rust problems as yet but are replacement outer sills not avalible then for the z32.

I think in a few years most parts will become unavailable from Nissan. The Z32 is at that point where it's been nearly 10 years out of production and as such, car manufacturers are not obliged to support that vehicle anymore.

The same thing has happened with the Z31 and parts are hard to get hold of.

The sxoc are having the same problems as uk zeds but worse as nearly all s13 200sxs are uk models most have rotten sills .A freind of mine is restoring a 91 uk s13 both sills are bad and some rust on floor .For years the sxoc club have been talking of getting panterns made for sill repair panels but nothing yet.Maybe the 300zx club should get some made up to stop so many cars being scapped due to rust.

Maybe its time to let the "Dead wood" die and make the ZX rare and more valuable instead??

nice one - cheers mark. you might have made my day :)

Damn we may have to tolerate him for a couple of more years ;)

:p will remember that next time you phone up for some MOT advice!! :p

Sorry to hear about this Paul :(

I had a similar problem (details here) It cost me over £400 inc parts and labour but they did a very good job (inc zinc coating the new sills from the inside).

CheerZ
