Hi all,

After recently having a dream in which the Zed gods visited me and told me to become a zed owner I have only viewed one so far, and that is the only zed I have been in for experience, I like the car but I have alot of plans for it.

I guess before all that I would like to ask all the experts and professionals in these cars, what is the best model to go for, manual or auto?....2+2 or swb.....and which year I know the early autos had problems with gearbox cooling etc.....so would a 92' model be okay or even later to around 94 or 96? But either way it will have to be a Twin Turbo!

Your advice will be much appreciated!!

SWB, Manual, and after 92 (i think) are prob the best, the car will be a series 2 that way and have lots of little upgrades that the series 1 cars didnt have.

I have all the rare bits you can't find :tongue:

Auto TT* if you live in a big city . Manual TT if you regularly appear on Top Gear , or have the use of their track . :)

*The TT is for when you ever get OUT of the fooking city

Depends on your own needs really. 2+2 vs 2+0 - Both are great, the LWB is more praticle, but the SWB is the sportier driver......so 2+2 if you intend to carry children or dwarfs in it, otherwise SWB. LWB is a lot easier to come by and wont cost as much.

Targa if its just a Toy/daily driver for the road, Slicktop if your after a Track toy.

Manual if you have the use of both legs. Its noticably quicker, a lot more reliable and a lot more fun.

Ofcourse there is also the Convertible option, although they are NA only, but make great cruisers.

Vast majority of cars are 90-92. Late 92 (series 2) onwards is slightly preferable becuase of the improved climate control, relocated seatbelts, nicer interior trim, ..etc,
