I will turn the "PUBLISH IP ADDRESSES ON POST" option on if this aliases war keeps up

and i dont care how much you all protest about "privacy" and the like, you can all get lump it or stop posting until the option is changed again.

this board is a useless piece of cack at the moment.

its funny sometimes, but then gets out of hand too quick

and then everyone moans about people coming on and startig arguments, taking the urine etc. etc...

you bring it on yourselves

things will change BIG TIME when the new software and server goes online, believe me

An excellent idea.......!

Great idea, please do it

Good idea. No-one should have anything to hide.

Craig - did you get my cheque ?

do it, there is obviously a hardcore of regulars causing majority of the trouble, I think its sad.

or maybe open a cluster fawk forum where people can go to abuse each other

Amen to that, why not just make public the alias, believe me there are more people not using this place to talk about cars because of them than not.ill come back when its a place to talk about cars not ****s

Yep, agreed.

List of who's alias is who's would make interesting reading I'm sure.

Well said Warren.

The problem when saying this though is that the 'free speech' argument will get trotted out time and time again.

That argument is bullshit - I love a joke and a genuinely funny thread should be made sticky FFS not deleted.

But most of the tripe on here isn't funny, its purile and the kind of discussion I would expect to find in a school playground.

And to those who claim that it is all part of a vibrant and great forum, it isn't AFAI am concerned - maybe I should shut up anyway, I dont even have a 300zx.

Can I just say that the IP recorder on this site isnt the greatest. When AY3388 first starting posting, Craig, emailed me asking if it was be because the posts where recording the same IP address. Its because the BB recorded the local server of Blueyonder because we are both on Blueyonder Broadband.

Just thought I would mention.

Stuart

Good idea Craig, Should help to keep the more imature posters quiet.

Ian

Now this one I DEFFO agree with!!! Sick of being accused of being every alias that ever appears??? I think so!!!! If I want to slag someone else off, then I'll do it with my own name - you ALL know that wink.gif

So I say YAY smile.gif

CheerZ,

Andy

you do realise there is only one person using all these Alias and what a joke it is.

And before you say its me its clearly not as the spelling is correct. biggrin.gif

I still think Duffer has alot to do with them wink.gif

I rest my case!!!

I thought you were Banzai and Howdy_TT Waz?

Mac Vs Waz again. rolleyes.gif

Craig just turn it on FFS. And I'll just pray that Howdy and Banzia don't use the same cache as me. Which I doubt. smile.gif

But Iain, you have to beware that if someone it using say freeserve, NTL or any other big ISP, and Banzai/Howdy is also using the same ISP there is a high likleyhood that they WILL have the same IP address as many other members, so you'll have to kill about 30 people to get your man. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif LOL.

Iain 'George Bush' Mac. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif.

But if the said person is posting from work, like Timmy & Skippy were then it'll be quite easy to accertain who it is (as proven wink.gif), well you can reduce it to a business/company as the IP will likely to be either their cache or firewall IP address.

But if you have an IP address it's pretty simple to find out who owns it, if you know how to that is, but there nothing complicated about it.

Post the IP address, why not.

It will be great to see the 300 forum back to a 300 forum and not a general chat server.

It's www.anonymizer.com and it doesn't let you post to BB's. smile.gif

Well that fvcked that one up then didn't it frown.gif Next time someone gets roggered by credit card fraud or something I'll post details of a CC number generator.... that should help the situation...

lets see action and not words, and do it! got my vote if its stops handbags at dawn problems.

steve

I think if you pay your subscription you can do almost anything with it.

[Edited in case you didn't know I was on about anonymize.com (oops! anonymizer.com - apologies!)]
