btw ian did you ever sort the problem ;)

Nice selection. Good to see lads! Had a mini get together yesterday with Jimmer and Old_zed.

Would have been nice to have gone out for a group drive rather than be sat at home machine polishing the Z. But it was one thing I kept putting off and off.

"to the rest that said they were gonna turn up and didn't let anybody know :slap::nono: you missed out BIG time!!"

It would have been nice to have had more notice on the venue and time and maybe in the correct place in the post for those of us who put our names down could see. But hey ho looks like we missed a nice day out.

Yes i know it was short notice (that was my fault as i had to spend to some time with my terminally ill dad in Liverpool), but it was always going to be central winchester, but im sorry mate, people knew there was a meet that day so thats not an excuse in my eyes. The thread couldnt be edited by marco as hes not a mod, so thats not his fault, but its not like it was a 25 page monster thread now is it!:o

Something that does wind me up though is why is there something soooo wrong with checking the forum in the morning of the day of the meet, to see if there are any last minute details????? And if people cant be arsed to do that, my contact details are a sticky at the top of the SC section if anyone wanted to know what was happening.

I know its a bit harder for you mate as you and scotty have to get a ferry across so you have to plan a bit more than the rest of us, but it takes a bit of effort from the people who say they are going to attend a meet as well as the organiser to make the meet work.

My 2p's worth

Doesn't the 99 spec spoiler just suit the car so well? From the back it follows the line round perfectly, and from the side it doesn't ruin that gorgeous sweeping curve running over the roof and down the boot lid, like the old spoiler does. Miles better than the old one IMHO.

Hi Nick

Remarks noted and i agree i should have checked through more thoroughly, but as you say it was last notice and i would have either needed to book a ferry or chance my arm trying to get on an available one. For instance i went to the mainland the day before and although sat is usually busy, i didnt have a booking and waited an hour and half to get on one.

Im not trying to make an excuse for not coming, believe me i dont need an excuse to have a chance to take the car on the mainland, it would have been a pleasure.

I am really sorry to hear about your dad Nick, i have an idea how you must be feeling as my dad went in for a triple bypass a few years back, so my thoughts are with you.

I hope to be able to see you guys in the near future and well done to those members who made the effort to get to the photo shoot.

My apologies

Graham

No problem stu, anytime youre over this way let me know. Unfortunately im working the weekend of the Goodwood meet, i would have gladly gone to that one in a shot, but i will try to get to the next pheonix meet.

If you are on about changing the bulbs to leds for your brake light in the spoiler then it can be done, you may get the dash light out warning though as it will think a bulb has gone (possibly) depends if it is wired to the brake lights direct or from the light sensor module behind the rear offside light cluster in the boot. They are a standard 501 fitting iirc.

Cheers

Graham
