Engine Oil

Oil...........now there is a sticky question. What oil is right for our 300's I have a 1994 TT manual UK spec, and have ON ADVICE put a 0-50 as I was informed it was thin and got around the engine quickly. But when I start my car in the mornings it rattles for a few minutes until warm, so I am not conviced I was informed correctly. Any help please.

    Yep normally gives a quick rattle when started cos all the oils sunk to the sump, should only last abou5 5 sces, I use 10-40s fully synthetic.
