Removing the spoiler

Featured Replies

I think both ,,bolted on and glued on with some nasty hard to remove glue...sure someone will be along to give the how´s and what´s though

:)

Its been too long for me to remember an exact how to, however like already said above it is bolted on AND glued on! If you take the tailgate trim off you will see the bolts and then it is a case of getting a sharp knife and cutting inbetween the spoiler and tailgate and slowly easing/pulling it off.

It is'nt a two minute job i'm afraid but it is easy/simple.

You will then be left with a load of black adhesive on the tailgate, and people have different opinions on how to remove this, i personally got a load of thinners and a plastic scraper and went to town on it, it worked a treat for me.

HTH :)

a piece of piano wire wrapped around 2 brush handles 6" each and pull up and along the bottom edge of spoiler in a sawing motion;)

remove the plastic trim on the underside of the boot lid, remove the visible bolts that hold on the spoiler, then i just pulled the spoiler off with brute force, actually i kicked it off in anger as it wouldnt budge lol

Depends if you want to keep the origional spoiler pal. If your getting something new as well as getting it painted then brute force might be quicker. Obviously if your selling it off etc, take care and time, not to break it.
