hey!

This is my Z, it's gonna be in the UK next summer, in Woking, gonna get a complete motor/suspension/body upgrade

Can't wait to join some Z clubs in the southwest london region and attend meets!

i'm currently in the process of removing my window tint, got the passenger door done, working on the rear and the small passenger window at the moment

i took a few pics to post up on the UK 300zx forum, though i might post some here aswell

oh, and i know it needs a drop and some camber adjustment to tuck the rear in the fender a bit, but i'm done modding it for the next year or so. It's gonna be shipped to england and taken apart to upgrade whatever i can.

Thanks!

Not many people are too keen on the lower offset, but I love the look!

It's not just a case of being keen or not keen.. It would be illegal over here, I'm sure :(

I personally am 'keen' though :)

nice tidy looking zed there bud....as per gumball & Joely... the wheel setup is gonna be viewed as very very naughty here in the UK as they stick out past the bodywork...as and when you get here i hope the insurance is kind to you what with it being a left hooker...i'd think the situation with the price of zeds over here being so cheap it makes a lot of sense to think about selling your one and buy a right hand one in the UK...also if your drivers license is US get tested to UK license asap as you'll get caned by the insurance even on a UK car

  • Author

yea, i'm gonna be getting a UK license as soon as i move back

as far as the Z goes, i'm not gonna insure it, i'm just gonna leave it as a garage queen, and maybe drive it once a month or so, gonna buy right hand cars for everyday use

i never realized the offset would be illegal?.....why's that?......

I was planning on a complete new look anyways, once the car reaches Woking next summer, everything will be torn apart for upgrades

At least you lot are kinder than the US folks, lol.....everyone bashes me for having low offset wheels

Looks absolutely superb bud :D

Quick question though do the rear wheels not scrub on your arch like mad when you hit a pot hole or bump in the road?

  • Author

not really, only when i go over massive bumps and when i'm going up a steep path, but other than that, they're fine.

They rub sometimes if i do a hard turn also..haha

thanks for the compliments!

nice offset, needs lowering though!!!!

it is illegal in this country to have the wheels sticking out from the car.

all you have to do is roll the arches though! so they are covering the wheels.

look ace when lowered and rolled :)

yea, i am planning on doing all the body work when it hits the UK

gonna get coilovers, motor build, suspension, diff work, everything will be built from ground up

thanks for the kind words!

Lovely looking car bud and the right colour aswell :dance::dance::D
